Social Care Worker, St Raphael's
St Raphael’s Service is an adult Intellectual Disability Service situated in East Cork It currently caters for circa 80 adults with an ID and / or Autism. The service has a base in Youghal and has a number of Community Houses in the surrounding environment of West Waterford and East Cork. The aim of our services for people with an ID and physical or sensory disabilities is to promote and maintain better health both in the person with a disability and their carer. We deliver day and residential services. This is a service, which has undergone significant changes in line with National Policy and has progressed from an institutional model of care to a community based person-centred model. Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be operational from 2024. Each Health Region will be tasked with population specific planning, resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision-making closer to the frontline. Health Regions will enable and empower staff to provide services that are: · Integrated, locally planned and delivered · Easier to access and navigate · Available closer to home Health Regions are geographically-based units with clearly defined populations. They align community and hospital services within specific areas. The HSE will retain a strong but leaner central organisation, with more service provision developed at a local level. The HSE South West Health Region will manage and deliver all public health and social care services in Cork and Kerry. HSE South West includes all hospital and community healthcare services in the region. This includes: · South/South West Hospital Group (SSWHG) · Cork Kerry Community Healthcare (CKCH) The Department of Population and Public Health is also now aligned with this health region. Occupational Therapist, Senior
The Senior Occupational Therapist will be assigned to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health service (CAMHS) in Cork/Kerry working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to client care. Kerry CAMHS consists of two community teams; North Kerry CAMHS based in Tralee and South Kerry CAMHS based in Killarney. Cork CAMHS consists of eight community teams across Cork city and county, along with specialist teams including Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Service (CAREDS), CAMHS-MHID, Eist Linn adolescent inpatient unit and CAMHS Hub (currently in development stages). The Senior Occupational Therapist will carry a complex caseload and will complete occupational therapy specific assessment and intervention looking at the impact of the child or young person’s moderate to severe mental health difficulty on their occupational performance. As part of the MDT, the Senior Occupational Therapist will complete some generic CAMHS work such as initial assessments and will hold a key working role. The Senior Occupational Therapist may be responsible for supervision of staff grade Occupational Therapists and will have a role in the development of the CAMHS Occupational Therapy service. The CAMHS Occupational Therapy service in Cork Kerry is comprised of Senior Occupational Therapists and Staff Grade Occupational Therapists. There is a strong emphasis placed on service development, supervision and continued professional development .There are opportunities across CAMHS for peer reflection and departmental learning. Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist, Pelvic Health, University Maternity Hospital
Cork University Hospital is the largest single multi-speciality hospital in Ireland. It is the only Level 1 Trauma Hospital in Ireland. Regional specialities include neurosurgery, plastics and burns, cystic fibrosis and cardiac surgery. It is the centre in Cork City and county for trauma orthopaedics. The Physiotherapy Department provides physiotherapy care within Cork University Hospital, St. Finbarr’s Hospital Rehabilitation Unit and Cork University Maternity Hospital. The service also provides weekend and on-call respiratory and discharge services under specific criteria. Cork University Maternity (CUMH) Hospital opened in 2007 and involved the amalgamation of maternity services from Erinville Hospital, St. Finbarr’s Maternity Hospital, Bon Secours Maternity Unit and gynaecology services from Cork University Hospital. The CUMH physiotherapy service provides an in- and outpatient service to the specialties of obstetrics, gynaecology and neonataology. Currently working in the service, there is a Deputy Manager, Clinical Specialists for Mesh complications, Clinical Specialist for Postnatal, Seniors Physiotherapists and Staff Grades. This post is primarily to support the provision of service to patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. To ensure that all Tachograph transactions for which the driver has responsibility for completing are carried out in a timely and accurate manner. 8. The competent use of material handling equipment. Where formal training is required for the operation of such equipment this will be provided by the Company. 9. To ensure that the vehicles are maintained to the highest possible standard of housekeeping. 10. The competent use and pre-shift checks of the Stores lorry and Van. 11.
