Electrician
The Role We are looking for a skilled person to join our team and help with the maintenance and repair of our Hospital. You will work with other staff and outside contractors to make sure everything runs smoothly and our service is friendly and efficient. Your main tasks will include checking the water, heating, and gas systems every day, as well as looking over the plant rooms and monitoring the building’s control systems. You will test the generator once a month and handle small repairs and painting jobs as needed. You will be responsible for electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing emergency lighting, changing fuses, and exchanging plugs and sockets. Additionally, you’ll perform various general maintenance duties both inside and outside the premises. You will keep track of repair parts, order new ones when needed, and work with outside contractors. You will help with fire safety as the Deputy Fire Officer. You will be asked to help with projects, take on any other jobs that come up, and be available for on-call support outside of normal hours. This job needs someone who is hands on, flexible, and willing to help out wherever needed to keep the building safe and running well. Clinical Liaison Nurse For The National Newborn Bloodspot Screening Laboratory
Purpose of the Role This a pivotal role in the clinical coordination of the National Newborn Bloodspot Screening (NNBS) service in Ireland, including the management and referral of ‘screen positive’ cases. The post holder will work as part of the NNBSL team in the provision of this service. They will have opportunity to participate in the further development of this essential national screening programme. The post holder will develop and maintain internal and external links with and promote an awareness of, the screening programme to all service users. They will liaise directly with families and multidisciplinary teams to seek and provide information and advice on matters relating to the NNBS programme. They will provide effective professional leadership and act as a resource to ensure a responsive and quality service to all users. Essential Criteria: Candidates must: · Be registered RCN, RGN or RM in the active Register held by the NMBI or be entitled to be so registered. · Have at least 5 years post registration experience. · Have a relevant professional academic qualification of not less than level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications. · Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. · Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Proof of excellent decision making skills and understanding of levels of clinical importance.
