Environmental Health Officer
A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following posts and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:- Environmental Health Officer 37 hours per week Scale PO1, SCP 29-32, £38,626-£41,511. Location: The location of this post will be in Larne but requirements of the post may result in the postholder having to work in locations across the Borough. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Undertake the inspections of commercial and domestic premises; investigate complaints and accidents, enforce relevant statutory provisions and provide guidance on statutory requirements. Provide advice and make recommendations to public, commercial and governmental organisations on a disparate range of environmental health and or wellbeing issues. Contribute to effective liaison and partnership arrangements related to the functions of the department. Building Regulation Technician

A casual vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following posts and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:- Holiday Scheme Casual Scale 3 and in the range SCP 7-8 (Currently £25,584 to £25,992) pro rata. Location: The location of this post will be confirmed following appointment process but it will be based in Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Leisure Centres in either Ballymena, Carrickfergus or Larne. Main Purpose of Job: Support the Programme Coordinators to ensure the delivery of a fun, educational and stimulating programme of activities as part of a Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Holiday/Programme Schemes. Work in partnership with the professional coaches and trainers to deliver a programme of events. Assist in the delivery of corporate fire risk assessments and disability audits as directed. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in an effective and timely manner to meet organisational objectives. Main Purpose of Job: To assist the Health & Safety Manager with the delivery of the Corporate Health and Safety function for Mid and East Antrim Borough Council in compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Order (NI) 1978 and relevant statutory provisions. Responsible, to the Health and Safety Manager, for providing day-to-day advice and guidance to line management and employees in respect of compliance with health and safety legislation, policy and procedures and safe working practices.
