The Role The Quality & Risk Manager, Clerical Officer Grade VII, will play a key leadership role in promoting and sustaining a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. The post holder will be responsible for implementing best practices in quality and risk management, aligned with the National Standards for Safer, Better Healthcare, to enhance patient care and service delivery. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, the role involves leading quality initiatives, managing risk proactively, and supporting staff engagement in quality and safety initiatives. Central to the role is ensuring that patients and their families remain at the heart of all quality and risk management efforts. Essential Criteria A candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed applications for the post An academic award in Healthcare Risk Management or Healthcare Quality Management at level 8 (or higher) on the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or equivalent OR A professional qualification in a health-related area. OR Demonstrated expertise in a comparable position and open to additional training if necessary. AND A background in Clinical/Healthcare setting in a post that has involved quality and risk management as relevant to this role. AND Minimum of five years proven experience in Quality and/or Risk.
