This will include training in pre-op evaluation, performing cataract surgery (including refractive cataract surgery) and post-operative patient management. The Fellow will also gain experience in the management of corneal and external eye diseases. This will include management of urgent and semi urgent corneal cases through a rapid access clinic and attending Consultant led clinics. The Fellow will also attend corneal operating lists and gain experience in corneal graft surgery, including penetrating keratoplasty, DSEK and DALK procedure. The Fellow will also gain experience in corneal refractive surgery by attending pre-op assessment clinics, observing refractive procedures and post-op care.
