Senior Social Work/Team Leader - CDNT Children’s Disability Network Team Full Time, Specific Purpose Contract This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Work/Team Leader to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a combination of intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities. The Senior Social Work/Team Leader is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team who will provide quality evidence based service in line with family centred practice and Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles. The Team Leader will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and will also provide clinical supervision to social workers on the team. There will be opportunities for training, and regular clinical supervision is provided. We are looking to recruit for positions working on our Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs). AND (ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with the NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 3. Health Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. 4. Character Candidates for and any person holding the office must be of good character. The Phlebotomist provides a blood collection service to all wards and the Outpatient Department of Mallow General Hospital. The Phlebotomist will be required to work individually on the wards or as part of a team in the Outpatients Department. Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is a 71-bed Acute Model 2 General Hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and day patient services. These services include general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, gerontology, ENT and gastro-enterology. Inpatient medical activity is supported by a Medical Assessment Unit and a High Dependency Unit. Mallow General Hospital also provides elective day Surgery, an infusion/Transfusion Unit, Endoscopy, Local Injury Unit, physiotherapy and radiology, including CT scanning services and ultrasound. The main purpose of the post is to develop the job description and supporting documentation under the direction of the Health Care Provider’s Advanced Practice Stakeholder Governance Group, to enable the individual nurse to meet the NMBI Criteria for Registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner as set out in Advanced Practice (Nursing) Standards and Requirements (NMBI, 2017) . The individual will undertake the academic preparation and develop the clinical and leadership skills, competencies and knowledge required to meet the criteria to be registered as a RANP with NMBI. The scope of the cANP role must reflect the incremental development of expertise and as such, the cANP cannot deliver care as an autonomous practitioner.
