The HR Director is responsible for leading and managing the HR function both on a strategic and ongoing day to day operational basis. Based in Dublin, with responsibility for HR services and travel remit across Dublin, North Tipperary/Offaly and Limerick, you will be a business facing HR leader, providing proactive support, advice and solutions. You will be responsible for driving the identification of people management priorities and the development of HRM plans and initiatives to support the Service strategy. The HR Director will give leadership direction to the ongoing strategic development and transformation of HR services to support service provision. Reporting to the CEO, the HR Director will ensure the efficient and effective management of all HR operations and services, to deliver the targets set out in the organisation’s strategic plan. Part of the Senior Management Team, the position plays a key role and contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. The right candidate will hold strong values and believe passionately in the fundamental human rights of each individual to live a good life of their own choosing, with appropriate supports. Essential: · Significant experience (5 years +) of HR management at a senior level in public sector or Healthcare environment. · Successful track record of planning and delivering major organisational change programs · Solid experience of ER/IR environment, processes and employment law · Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organizing skills including resource management. · Demonstrate leadership and team management skills including the ability to build relationships and work with Multidisciplinary teams. · Masters qualification in HRM or related subjects · Exceptional interpersonal skills · Demonstrative ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders to achieve results · Full Clean Diving Licence and use of a car Desirable: · Held a senior management role in a healthcare environment similar to intellectual disabilities care environment . · Experience working in a not for profit organisation. Senior Medical Scientist (0.5WTE, Permanent) in Cellular Pathology The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital is a 730 bed multidisciplinary academic teaching hospital located in central Dublin. It is the national tertiary referral centre for the management of spinal injuries and cardiothoracic surgery, including heart and lung transplantation. It is a designated cancer centre and has regional gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, neurology and dermatology services. In association with University College Dublin the Mater is part of the Ireland East Health Group. The Cellular Pathology Department is accredited ISO15189 Standards and provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic testing and acts as a referral laboratory for the investigation and management of patients with a variety of disorders. Areas of specialist expertise within the laboratory include Cytology, Histology, Histochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and In-situ Hybridisation, and Molecular Diagnostics. The department is active in research and development, has participated in many research projects and has had work presented at both national and international levels.
