About the role As a Road Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating road infrastructure to identify safety risks, ensuring compliance with road safety standards, and contributing to the development of safer transport systems across the country. You will work closely with engineering teams, local authorities, and contractors to improve road safety across new and existing road networks through the defined Road Safety Audit process. About you You will be experienced in conducting Road Safety Audits on private development and public investment schemes such as new roads schemes, road modifications, active travel schemes, private developments, Quality Audits, Road User Audits and DMURS audits. You will have experience in managing a portfolio of Road Safety Audits at all stages, engage with the Tii Road Safety Auditor approval process and be able to manage stakeholder and client expectations for delivery and communication of the audit process. Skills & experience - A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent and ideally a post-graduate degree. - Minimum 5+ years post-graduate experience in a similar role. - Strong understanding of the Road Safety Audit process as set down in TII-GE-01025 Road Safety Audit - Qualified to carry out Road Safety Audits at Team Leader and Team Member status. - Solid communication and IT skills - Experience in working on Active Travel, Transportation, Planning & Road Design projects - Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D desirable but not required. - Clean drivers licence and access to a vehicle for travelling to site locations around Ireland. BCAR - Coordinator

About Role ORS is a market leader in the role of assigned certifier. Since the introduction of BC(A)R 2014, we have a dedicated assigned certifier team of experienced chartered engineers and surveyors working on some of Ireland’s most prestigious construction projects. We are seeking a BCAR engineer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the BC(A)R certification process across a range of project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, logistics, leisure, retail, and healthcare. About you You will be experienced in multidisciplinary projects across various sectors, and therefore familiar with a wide range of building types and understand the common issues and defects associated with these. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all phases of the construction process are coordinated and completed in line with building regulations. As a senior team member, client relationships will be an integral part of your role. The role would suit a result orientated, passionate and ambitious team player. Skills & Experience - 0-3 years post qualification experience. - Preparing, issuing and reviewing inspection records for each project. - Have excellent working knowledge of the building regulations. - Understand the role of the assigned certifier as stipulated by BCAR. - Be able to build relationships with existing and new clients, including within ORS. About the role ORS has a robust building surveying team with a proven track in delivering with speed and dependability on complex projects. We survey the built environment, advising clients on a wide range of issues from property registration to building compliance. We are seeking a building surveyor to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be mentored by a team of chartered surveyors and engineers in various fields of engineering. About you The successful candidate should have appropriate surveying experience and be willing to work as part of a successful team in a well-established building consultancy. The role will suit an ambitious and enthusiastic individual wishing to advance their career. As a building surveyor, you will be responsible for working on your own initiative under directors, and perform professional building surveying and other ancillary tasks as necessary to include but not limited to: - Carrying out Stock Condition Surveys (Capex Budgeting/Condition Surveys). - Preparation of Opinion of Compliance with respect to Planning Permission and Building Regulations. - Undertaking Schedule of Conditions and Schedule of Dilapidations reports on commercial properties. - Undertaking Technical Due Diligence Surveys - General surveying and preparing property reports. - Preparing tenders, supervising tendering procedures and putting together proposals. - Compiling, checking and approving reports and drawings ensuring that projects run smoothly. - Assisting with management and coordination of projects works. - Preparation of client progress reports for large scale projects. - Inputting your expertise in general where you have specific expertise not available elsewhere in company. - Communicating and liaising with colleagues, architects, consultants and clients. - Business development work as necessary to support the above Skills and experience - BSc, (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying, or equivalent. - Chartered Building Surveyor and/or Registered Building Surveyor status desirable. - 5+ years’ experience, preferably within a consultancy. - Have strong onsite surveying skills with previous relevant commercial / residential building surveying experience. - Experience in negotiation of settlement with tenants/landlord’s surveyor on terminal Schedule of Dilapidations desirable. - Experience in business development, client facing and presentation skills desirable. - Be able to develop and foster long term client relationships. - Proficient IT skills, including AutoCAD, Word and Excel. - Have a full clean driving licence and access to vehicle for work travel purposes. - Excellent technical knowledge and competence. - Have strong report writing skills and excellent attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Possess superior organizational and time management skills. - A team player who is motivated to mentor, share knowledge with and guide graduate level building surveyors. - A positive work ethic and eagerness to progress within the company.
