Key Purpose of the Post To carry out a broad range of cleaning and general maintenance duties within the facilities and to use initiative to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness throughout the building. The postholder will be required to comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures, as well as adhere to normal operating procedures and emergency action plans. Main Duties and Responsibilities • To carry out a range of cleaning duties across all areas of the facility. • To collect, separate, and dispose of all litter from the building in line with the Council’s Recycling Policy. • To follow the cleaning rota for the facility and use initiative to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout all areas. • To assist in the preparation and delivery of events and activities, including the safe and timely assembly and dismantling of equipment. • To undertake deep cleaning duties across all designated areas. • To respond effectively to the needs and requirements of the facility as they arise and to assist, where appropriate, with Leisure or Community Centre activities. • To attend work in appropriate uniform, neatly presented, with identification and all necessary equipment to carry out duties. • To promote and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the workplace. • To promote high-quality customer service at all times, including providing information, guidance, and instruction where appropriate. • To assist with Catering, Youth Service, or Reception duties as required (applicable to dry centres only). • To participate in staff training and development to ensure ongoing compliance with post requirements and standards. • To assist with staff shadowing and training as required. • To ensure all required documentation and records are completed accurately and signed off appropriately. • To ensure all lost property is handled and recorded in accordance with FODC procedures. • To comply with all Health and Safety, COSHH, Manual Handling, and Risk Assessment guidelines at all times. • To ensure all equipment is used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and stored safely, and to report any defects to management. • To ensure cleaning stores and equipment storage areas are kept clean, tidy, and well organised. • To comply with FODC Safeguarding Policies and Procedures at all times. • To check equipment and facilities for safety and maintenance issues and report any defects appropriately. • To record and report all incidents, accidents, and near misses in line with procedures. • To ensure the health, safety, and welfare of customers, colleagues, and self at all times. • To undertake any other duties relevant to the post as may be allocated. • To acknowledge that duties may change in line with evolving priorities and operational demands of the department and Council. General: To comply with all Council policies and procedures, including the Employee Code of Conduct and the Employee and Councillor Working Relationship Protocol, and, where applicable, to ensure that all employees comply with the same. The duties listed are not exhaustive, and the postholder may be required to undertake other relevant duties as required. Essential Criteria: • A minimum of 6 months relevant cleaning experience in a public building. • Experience using various chemicals and electrical cleaning equipment. • A working knowledge of health and safety requirements in relation to cleaning duties. • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with members of the public. Slron/- / Radiation Therapy Service Manager III
Established in 2010, St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) operates from three Dublin locations – St Luke’s Hospital Rathgar and St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Centres on the campuses of St James and Beaumont Hospitals. The Network provides a full range of world class treatments including a comprehensive VMAT programme, Intra-cranial Stereotactic (SRS), Extra-cranial Stereotactic (SBRT), Total Body Irradiation (TBI) and the national paediatric radiation oncology service. There is also a comprehensive brachytherapy service provided including both prostate seeds and ocular brachytherapy. Currently there are 14 linear accelerators within the Network, 4 in each of the centres at BC & SJC, and 6 on the Rathgar site. There are 2 CT scanners per centre. Both St James and Beaumont centres have an MRI unit. St Luke’s hospital houses the brachytherapy and superficial units. St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) has a long history of involvement in clinical trials and works very closely with Clinical Trials Ireland. St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) serves patients primarily from the Dublin East, Dublin Midlands and Dublin North East regions. Referrals are also received on a wider basis from around the country for the specialist services offered. The Radiation Service Therapy Manager III is the Line Manager for all Radiation Therapists within the designated SLRON centre. There is currently one permanent, whole-time vacancy available in the Radiotherapy Department in St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) at St. James’s Hospital.
