The Role: Attend college on designated days and successfully complete all college assignments Work within the Die Maintenance department and receive instruction and hands-on training to develop skills and knowledge in a range of areas, including: the use and interpretation of engineering drawings and documents the use of overhead cranes, hand- and air-powered tools fitting and assembly assembling mechanical products welding grinding skills die assembly hydraulics pneumatics machine repairs die repairs quality adjustments use measuring instruments complete quality checks to the standards provided control of paper work Work efficiently and effectively in engineering, supporting the team to deliver solutions, meet deadlines and achieve departmental and company Key Performance Indicators Practise good Housekeeping and 5S procedures Comply with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements Ensure compliance with all Company policies and systems, including the quality, health, safety and environmental policies and management systems Participate in information sharing, team working and continuous improvement programmes Other duties as required Essential Criteria: Willing to undertake and achieve Essential Skills qualifications at college, if required Pass Aptitude set by Ryobi after application and shortlisting process is complete Applications welcome from those who have already started an NVQ/BTEC qualification Display an understanding of the behaviours that demonstrate the Ryobi Core Values of: Integrity Ownership Teamwork Flexibility Quality Good communication skills, both oral and written Willing to undertake internal and external job and academic training to achieve required qualifications, i.e. BTEC & NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK There is no age restriction on our apprenticeship scheme Desirable Criteria: GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent in: Mathematics English Science or Engineering Company Benefits: Competitive salary Competitive shift premium for all shift roles Generous employer pension contributions, starting at 7% Employer and rising to 14% Employer A health cash plan Discount scheme Life assurance Service-related holidays & Holiday Purchase Scheme Employee assistance programme Free car parking Learning and Development opportunities and support Ride to work scheme Service awards If you have previously applied for this role in the last 6 months, we will not be considering your application at this time.

Degree Apprenticeship in Law – Wilson Nesbitt & Ulster University We are pleased to be partnering with Ulster University to offer a Degree Apprenticeship in Law for an aspiring future lawyer. The programme will enable a legal apprentice to study for an LLB (Hons) in Law at Ulster University, while gaining professional legal experience within one of Northern Ireland’s leading independent law firms. This unique four-year programme – facilitated by the Department for the Economy's Higher Level Apprenticeship scheme – offers aspiring solicitors the opportunity to earn while they learn, gain invaluable professional experience, and acquire a degree from an award-winning university without incurring any tuition fees. The successful candidate will commence the programme in September 2026.
