As a Lift Engineer Apprentice you will work with experienced Lift Engineers to learn and understand the company and requirements to become a qualified Lift Engineer. To be successfully shortlisted for the apprentice scheme you must: * Be qualified to Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard * This must include five passes in the Leaving Certificate (Maths and English must be two of these) * Submit an Ishihara colour vision test – it must be on the SOLAS form What you need to be successful: * To complete a 4 year Electrical apprenticeship, supported through a structured in-house development programme in conjunction with SOLAS. * To undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development in the lift industry * Attend SOLAS and complete course work on time and to a high standard * Assist and liaise with Managers / Supervisors on relevant work activities * Understand and apply the electrical principles associated with lift installation and lift maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems * Ensure compliance in all Health and Safety practices in current legislation Employment is subject to an interview and reference checks. Agricultural Mechanics Apprenticeship
Agricultural Mechanic We are an inporter and distributor for various machines used in The Grounds Maintenance industry, primarily by Councils, Government Bodies, Landscape contractors, Golf Courses, Sports Clubs, Large estates, etc We are a main dealer for Kubota Groundcare and Agricultural tractors. We also are a Distributor for Briggs and Stratton Products and Various other ranges. We are also one of the main suppliers of winter maintenance equipment in the country. On successful completion of this Agricultural Mechanics apprenticeship, the apprentice is awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Agricultural Mechanics. This apprenticeship consists of four on-the-job phases with an approved employer and three off-the-job phases in an educational organisation. Apprentices will be invited to attend their off-the-job training phases in accordance with the SOLAS scheduling system. Whilst every effort is made to eliminate unnecessary travel for apprentices it may be necessary for apprentices to attend educational organisations that are not convenient to their locality. This apprenticeship is deemed to be complete when an apprentice has successfully completed all on-the-job and off-the-job phases of their apprenticeship, which is a minimum of four years in duration from the date of registration.

Ref: 346 Unit: Apprenticeship Services SOLAS, the Further Education and Training Authority of Ireland, was established on 27 October 2013 and its mission is to fund, co-ordinate and monitor a range of Further Education and Training (FET) provisions that is responsive to the needs of learners and employers. It is an agency of the recently formed Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. SOLAS works in close collaboration with Education and Training Boards (ETBs) across Ireland on provision of high-quality further education and training, equipping learners with relevant skills and knowledge, and providing a pipeline of talent into employment and to the Irish economy and society. Applications are invited for the permanent role of Craft Apprenticeship Manager, within the Apprenticeship Services Unit. The apprenticeship team has responsibility for 62 Apprenticeship programmes at present. The Manager of Craft Apprenticeship, in consultation with the Director, provides ongoing operational oversight to the team responsible for the 25 craft apprenticeship programmes. The Craft Apprenticeship Manager oversees efficient and effective achievement of relevant key deliverables in the business plan and is responsible for the effective development and management of all apprenticeship business processes in the day-to-day operations of SOLAS as coordinating provider for these programmes. The Manager reports to the Director of Apprenticeship and manages the Craft Apprenticeship team. This is a permanent position for which the salary scale ranges from €69,644 to €91,130 per annum (inclusive of two long service increments) for a 37-hour week.
