Community Support Worker
Salary: €31,561 to €35,982 (pro rata) per annum About the Role: The purpose of the job is to promote and support independent living and community integration, personal development and work opportunities for service users. To assist the Community Services Manager in the development, implementation and delivery of quality customer focused and cost-effective community services to service users at an appropriate time and setting. This includes the provision of individual programmes and activities to meet the needs, choices and abilities of service users, and an active contribution towards the involvement of RehabCare in the expansion of this service. What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience of working in the Community. * Experience of working 1:1 in the community. * Experience of promoting self-advocacy. * Experience in the provision of personal care. * To support individuals with independent living skills, develop education and employment opportunities. * To maintain a basic knowledge of first aid/personal care and to implement good hygiene practices. * Strong IT and reporting skills. * Full clean driving license and access to a car for business purposes. * Flexible with regard working hours in order to meet the needs of the service users. * Understanding and knowledge of intellectual, physical and or mental health disability. Additional Requirements: * Full manual driving licence is essential. * Access to a car for business purposes insured in your name. * Essential: A minimum of one year’s experience working in the field of disability. * Desirable: A third level degree, preferably in Social Care * Willingness to participate in RehabCare mandatory and further development training programme. If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign. Salary starting from point 1 €31,561.64 to point 5 €35,982.66(pro rata), is subject to experience and qualification. The 12-point salary scale provides annual progression opportunities up to €43,731.06 per annum.
