The successful candidate requires: To be completed their first year of a Nursing Degree or their second year of a Social Care Degree · Ideally, they may have some experience as a Health Care Assistant and/or working with people with an Intellectual Disability · A genuine passion for supporting others · Excellent communication, organisational skills, and flexibility · Basic proficiency in IT systems · Full manual driving licence is Desirable The role of a Support Worker Support Workers provide a key-working caring role for a group of People Supported by the Services. This role comprises two main elements. Firstly the Support Worker is responsible for all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being. Secondly, a major focus of the Support Worker role is to assist and support People Supported by the Services with development on Individual Plan's and achievement of associated outcomes. Senior Occupational Therapist Permanent Full Time Contract Location: West Limerick Children’s Services, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick Candidates for appointment must: · Be registered, or be eligible for registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. · Candidates must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU and must confirm annual registration to Corlann by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). · Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. · Have three years full-time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification. Clinical experience working with adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, mental health conditions or sensory processing impairments is essential. · Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. · Have excellent clinical Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills of relevance to working with adults with intellectual disabilities particularly in the areas of the assessment and prescription of equipment, specialist seating/posture management, pressure care management and environmental assessments and interventions. · Experience supervising Occupational Therapy staff grades, OT assistants and/or students is desirable. · A full clean driving licence and use of a car is an essential requirement for the post Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Sunday 29th March 2026 Short listing of applications may apply.
