The NIAO seeks to recruit Trainee Accountants on full-time, fixed term training contracts commencing September 2026 providing an attractive route to achieving Chartered Accountant status with Chartered Accountants Ireland. The office currently operates a hybrid working pattern consisting of working from home, at client sites and at headquarters in Belfast. You will gain experience in Financial Audit and Public Reporting. At first, you will be assisting more experienced staff with audits. As your training progresses you will prepare audit plans, carry out planned audit tests under supervision, prepare documentation including writing up key findings, undertake research, data analysis and document review, and contribute to reports on audit findings and recommendations. Essential criteria An Honours Degree of at least 2:1 in any discipline OR be graduating in summer 2026 with a predicted 2:1 or higher OR have completed the second year of your degree (240 credits) and be graduating summer 2026 with a predicted 2:1 or higher OR hold ATI Level 5 Diploma for Accounting Technicians OR be due to complete ATI Level 5 Diploma for Accounting Technicians in summer 2026). A full UK driving licence (or equivalent) and access to a car OR have access to a form of transport that will enable you to meet the needs of the post in full GCSE/GCE ‘O’ Level at Grades A-C in 7 separate subjects, which must include Mathematics and English Language. We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Full Time Dispenser/Trainee Dispenser to work in our Lisburn Road branch in Belfast. Working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, according to the rota. Additional hours may be required from time to time and applicants must be fully flexible to work according to the rota. Working as part of a team duties can include; sales of over the counter medicines, providing customers with information on symptoms and products, prescription receipt and collection, date checking, and the ordering, receiving and storing of pharmaceutical stock. Research Ready Programme, Trainee Researcher
Trainee Researcher Duration: Shortlisted candidates must be available to attend 1 week bootcamp at start of December 2025 & 8 week placement Jan-Mar '26 (exact dates tbc) Start Date: Dec 2025 for bootcamp & Jan/Feb 2026 for placement Hours: 37.5hrs per week Salary: Real Living Wage (currently £12.60 per hour) - paid during bootcamp and placement Location: Bootcamp will be in person, Belfast City Centre. Placements will depend on host company but likely to be in person/hybrid. Programme Summary RESEARCH READY is a skills development programme for those with a passion for unscripted television and a background in research that provides a pathway into the world of factual TV production (e.g. documentary, factual-entertainment, quiz). In a world of fake news and misinformation, it is more important than ever to build stories on a strong foundation of verified facts, crafting real and authentic stories with integrity. In factual TV, every story begins with truth. Solid research underpins every stage of production, from source to screen and from pitch to production. Through a series of paid industry-led masterclasses and industry placements, course participants will develop the skills needed to transform their research into powerful and compelling fact-based television. Up to 12 applicants will be selected for a one-week paid industry bootcamp (Dec 1-5 2025), with up to 6 progressing to an eight-week paid placement (Jan–Mar 2026).
