Senior Community Facilitator
CORLANN –WEST REGION POSTS: PERMANENT FULL-TIME SENIOR COMMUNITY FACILITATOR PERMANENT PART-TIME SENIOR COMMUNITY FACILITATOR Strokestown Adult Services – (Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare & Ballaghaderreen areas) Ref: 103571 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Senior Community Facilitator Appointments within the Cruachan Services will be made over the next 6 months. Location: Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare & Ballaghaderreen areas Future developments within the services may require that you are prepared to transfer to other work locations as the service needs demand. The Role: This is a direct support/front line role providing support to an individual with Intellectual Disability, Autism and Complex Behaviours. The successful candidate will take a lead role with the implementation of the Behaviour Support Plan and leading the team to deliver a quality-based service. This will involve supporting the Individual during behaviours of distress. This role includes working as a key worker to support and advocate for the individual supported by the service. The role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual’s ability while promoting independence and development of skills. The role will assist and support the individual, with the development of their person centred plan, the achievement of associated outcomes, to live a meaningful life and fulfil their potential. The successful candidate will encourage community participation and inclusion in positive ways, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Working Hours: 1 X Permanent Full- Time 78 hours a fortnight 1 X Permanent Part-Time 60 hours a fortnight Rostered Monday to Friday. Contracted hours of work are liable to change from 8am to 8pm to meet the requirements of the programme. Future developments within the services may require that you are prepared to transfer to other work locations as the service needs demand. Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked. Remuneration: €41,431 x 8 increments - €52,317 (Max) per annum pro-rata (Department of Health Senior Instructor/Supervisor Grade as at 01/06/2026). LSI 1 €54,011 per annum pro-rata is paid after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. LSI 2 €55,805 per annum pro-rata is paid after a further 3 years. CORLANN –WEST REGION POST: 2 X PERMANENT FULL-TIME TEAM LEADER (CNM1/Social Care Leader) CRUACHAN SERVICES (Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare & Ballaghaderreen areas) Job Ref: 103564 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Team Leader appointments within Cruachan Services may be offered over the next 6 to 12 months. The Role: The Team Leader has a pivotal role in managing the day to day delivery of services. The Team Leader will provide leadership and supervision to teams while ensuring the development of the service in line with national standards and best practice. The main responsibilities are to assist the Team Manager with the management of the services, such as – person centred planning in line with Personal Outcome Measures ethos and practice, resource management and staffing - including rosters, staff development, facilitating communication and professional leadership in order to ensure a good quality of life for the people supported. Qualifications/Experience: Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition have: (I) A relevant 3rd level qualification in Nursing and current Live Register Certificate from NMBI OR Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board - CORU OR Be eligible under the Section 91 (existing practitioner) route for registration in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board - CORU (evidence of application status is necessary). And Working Hours: Contracted hours will depend on the grade of the successful candidate - i.e. 78 hours a fortnight (SCL grade) or 75 hours a fortnight (CNM1 grade) rostered flexibly on a 7 day duty roster. The Team leader will work as a frontline member of the team with protected time to carry out specific team leader duties. In addition, a sleep-in and/or night duty commitment may be a requirement of posts in residential services for which the appropriate allowance will be paid.
