Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Toolmaker to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience and technical expertise in precision machining, CNC programming, and toolmaking. The apprenticeship follows the official SOLAS Toolmaking Apprenticeship Programme, leading to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Toolmaking. Responsibilities: • Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment. • Assist in the manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of precision tools, jigs, and fixtures. • Develop skills in metal cutting, grinding, milling, and turning. • Work under the guidance of experienced toolmakers to enhance knowledge and skills. • Maintain high standards of quality and safety in all tasks. Requirements: • A keen interest in engineering, manufacturing, and precision machining. • Minimum Junior Certificate (or equivalent); Leaving Certificate with technical subjects is an advantage. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude. • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions. Service Manager
POSITION SUMMARY The Service Manager will be primarily responsible for the operational management of the Jigsaw service. The Jigsaw Service Manager will work as part of a collaborative leadership team (Service Manager and Clinical Manager) to ensure the safe and effective delivery of the Jigsaw service and compliance with service related policies and procedures. The Service Manager has lead responsibility for oversight and management of delivery of youth mental health promotion programmes, youth and community participatory structures and community engagement activities.
