Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) serves the entire community, a population of 1.9 million in an area of over 5,500 square miles. NIFRS wish to invite applications for the following role: Asset Governance Officer - Job Ref N008/02/2026 The post holder will provide a professional, efficient and effective asset management service across NIFRS for all fleet, operational equipment, specialist Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform. The Asset Governance Officer will manage and maintain the Stock & Asset Management Information System (MIS), maintain NIFRS Finance management systems, corporate document management and reporting systems such as SharePoint ensuring compliance and governance with the relevant processes and procedures. Hours of work; Currently 36¼ hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation. There is currently one permanent post based at NIFRS Service Support Centre, 99 Boucher Crescent, Belfast, BT12 6HU. This recruitment and selection process will also be used to fill future vacancies, a reserve list will be created for 12 months should any additional permanent or fixed term vacancies arise (offers of posts will be made in merit order). Machine Operator
Summary of Role: The job role involves being responsible for routine mechanical tasks and the essential upkeep of machinery to minimise downtown and ensure the smooth running of Production Department. Duties and Responsibilities: Machinery and equipment safety checks as necessary; Operating, and monitoring production machinery to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes; To transport goods and pallets across site using a counterbalance forklift; Maintaining appropriate records for department; To fulfil daily production requirements as instructed by the Production Management Team; Responsible to keeping downtime and waste to a minimum. The Person: Previous work experience in a food manufacturing environment; Experience of record keeping with attention to detail; An awareness of health and safety legislation; Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills; Good level of written and spoken English; Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines & targets. Job description This is primarily a night service. Working hours will require the post holder to work weekends, nights, and public holidays on a rota basis. The post holder is responsible for providing efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to all areas of the administration department, consultant psychiatrists, medical / multidisciplinary teams and any other personnel, as directed. You will be required to operate a 35-hour week over 5 days. Your hours of work will be as agreed with your line manager and in line with service needs. Responsibilities: · Provide full administrative and secretarial support to all areas of the administration department, including the consultant psychiatrists, medical / multidisciplinary teams, admissions department, and any other personnel, as directed, in an efficient and effective manner. · You may also be required to provide administrative or secretarial support for any other service within the hospital, as directed by the administrative coordinator. · Provide cross-cover, as directed, for other administrative colleagues on the hospital’s main reception desk / switchboard, mental health act administrator, medical record administrative functions, and admissions department, as required. · Demonstrate flexibility in performing your duties and, if necessary, to work outside the standard working hours, should the business need arise. · Ensure the smooth running of out-patient clinics for consultant psychiatrists, registrars and additional team members, as directed. Locum Consultant In Palliative Medicine
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine 18.5 hrs at Bantry General Hospital (11.5 hrs) & Marymount Hospice Cork (7 Hrs). Required immediately for inital 6 months. Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council of Ireland is required. Public Only Consultant Contract. Marymount University Hospital and Hospice provides two services, specialist palliative care (SPC) and service for older persons. There are 44 specialist hospice inpatient beds, a consultant-led community service (including input into mental health units, community hospitals and nursing homes), an outpatient department, and medical consultant input into all acute public hospitals in the county, namely Cork University Hospital, Mercy University Hospital, South- Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, Mallow General Hospital and Bantry General Hospital. The community service is divided geographically into 4 community teams – North Cork team, South Lee team, North Lee team and West Cork team. This post is in respect to West Cork SPC services. The post holder will be the lead clinician overseeing the West Cork Community SPC team and provide medical input into Bantry General Hospital (BGH). The existing service provides palliative care consultations to; patients in their own home, in-patients in BGH, and out-patients at the out-patient department attached to BGH. Consultations are primarily provided for symptom control, psychological support, assistance with future care and discharge planning, management of ethical dilemmas and end of life care. SPC services are provided between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Weekend cover is also provided by the consultant and community CNS team.
