Apprentice, Quality Engineer
This position provides the Apprentice Quality Engineer, as part of their formal on the job training and college studies, the experience of working within the Quality department of a regulated medical device company. Under close supervision, the apprentice will provide basic Quality process support to a project or function. Under supervision, assist Engineers in providing basic design, technical and operational support to manufacturing processes in connection with the Quality System Improvement Plan. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice, system safety and promotion of compliance. Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues. Interface with Materials Science, Design and Quality Assurance departments to provide customer with a quality product in a timely manner. Supports Engineers in the Validation, Appraisal and support of process and material suppliers as required. Participate in FMEA and PPAP activities associated with product transfers and launches. Under supervision, support capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, Installation and validation. Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with support team members and with external agents. Participate in cross-functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives. Apply project management methodologies and Kaizen improvement philosophy to manage production, product, design, process and systems improvements.

Apprenticeship In Retail Supervision
What is an Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision? Applegreen are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Retail Ireland Skillnet and are actively recruiting for individuals who are passionate about retail and who are looking to pursue a career in this fast-growing industry. The Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision is a 2-year programme that allows you to both work full time in one of our Applegreen stores while also gaining a Level 6 qualification at the same time. The programme combines learning in the workplace with classroom, online and independent learning. Apprentices will attend classroom and online classes 24 days each year from 10am – 5pm. Classes are delivered in three locations, including Cork, Dublin and Galway and modules are delivered from September to May/June each year. What will I be doing? Develop productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders and departments within the business – this will include Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Despatch, Stores, Planning, and Accounts – to ensure that the output and delivery of products are as per customer specifications. Assist with the daily planning of food production, customer supply, and movement of goods throughout Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Liaise with all areas of Management across our sites and the Group to create a good working relationship. Gain a full understanding of all relevant roles and processes with Operations and Production gaining experiential on-the-job learning. Work with Site Management to reduce costs and increase efficiency. What do I need to be successful in this role? Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria: H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics. Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g., business, logistics, and distribution, supply chain management, etc.) Excellent organisation skills and time management. Ability to take ownership of queries/issues, bringing them to a successful conclusion. Enthusiastic attitude to the challenge of the role with a positive can-do approach to tasks.
