The primary role of the CNM 1 will be one of clinical and professional leadership and development in the nursing team, including the development of nursing staff by means of in-service training, orientation of new staff and arranging for clinical experience and supervision of student nurses where this is appropriate. Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Are registered in the General division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered. And (ii) Have at least 3 years post registration fulltime experience (or an aggregate of 3 years post registration full time experience) of which 1 year post registration full time experience (or an aggregate of 1 years post registration full time experience) must be in the speciality or related area. And (iii) Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. And (iv) Candidates must demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development. What does this role involve? This role is responsible for the daily supervision of manual dispense team, ensuring that all component is processed in accordance with work orders and standard operating procedures. This is an extremely varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset, including: • Ensuring that material is dispensed in accordance with process specifications and to the daily schedule, whilst ensuring all output targets are met. • Leading the team and ensuring staff are operating efficiently and following all departmental and company policies. • Operation of various laboratory equipment and machinery • Ensuring the laboratory environment is always clean, organised and audit ready • Use of Sage stock control system to order planned work, liaising with other manufacturing departments • Monitor and review staff productivity and output and ensure all staff are working efficiently and to company standards • Report daily progress to the supervisor and highlight any issues immediately • Ensure all records are completed correctly and to ISO accreditation standards Who can apply? The programme responds to the urgent challenge of climate change by embedding design thinking and sustainability into decision-making processes across businesses, public bodies and civic organisations. The programme brings together agents of change with the shared ambition to create actionable solutions for our planet. It is supported by directors of small and medium enterprises, the public sector, and multinational organisations across Ireland, each committed to enabling positive behavioural change for future generations. Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate is working to embed five key recommendations that resulted from the first iteration of the programme within corporate organisations and public sector bodies: Build a shared understanding Show what change looks like Make our journey public Give climate a permanent, central role at the table Incentivise and celebrate progress As part of a phase 2 funded programme Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate (CBC4C) will tour the exhibition designed during phase 1 using sustainable design principles to private and public sector organisations, North and South, across the Island of Ireland. The exhibition brings into focus the core challenges impacting Ireland’s climate responsibilities— food, transport, textiles and the built environment in an accessible and impactful way. The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of day-long design thinking workshops with ‘Strategising for Sustainable Futures’ as a key focus. Workshops are intended to support businesses and bodies interested in future-scaping to adapt to doing new things in an evolving climate environment. Scope of Work We are seeking applications from individuals to be part of a panel (max. 3) of experts to: ● Co-develop workshop concepts in collaboration with CFA and exhibition partners. ● Design and prototype workshop activities using participatory and design-led methodologies. ● Deliver 5–10 full-day workshops across various locations on the island of Ireland in 2025. Workshops will engage with groups of 8 - 12 participants that may include a mixed cohort of students, board members and C-suite professionals. Workshop Focus Workshops will be aligned with a series of public exhibitions and aim to: ● Build shared understanding around climate action. ● Explore future-facing design solutions. ● Engage staff, boards and stakeholders in systemic change. ● Make sustainability and climate innovation central to leadership practices. Each workshop will respond to the theme of ‘Strategising for Sustainable Futures’ and will work with groups using an agreed and relevant selection of design thinking methodologies to: Demonstrate the value of a design-led approach and To provide potential solutions or ways to frame approaches towards sustainable futures.
