KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: As a member of the Sports Services Team, the postholder will be required to assist the Plant Manager in the efficient operation and control of facilities services together with the maintenance of fabric, fixture and fitting of the complex. The post holder will assume other delegated duties appropriate to the post reasonably assigned by management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES To assist in facilities management of the maintenance and repair of the Centre including fixtures, fittings and upkeep of the site along with monitoring all equipment. The post holder will assume all delegated duties appropriate to post reasonably assigned by the facilities maintenance manager and will participate in the interchange of duties to cover annual leave, sickness absences and various shifts. The post holder will undertake Level 2 and Level 3 Qualifications in IWFM Workplace and Facilities Management, which is fully delivered online. KEY DUTIES The following duties are typical for this role. The post-holder may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices. 1. Assist in the daily operations of facilities management including maintenance, health & safety and overall workplace services. 2. Help support the coordination of jobs allocated to internal staff, external contractors and stakeholders. Assist with the monitoring and control of contractors within the facility. 3. Assist with the preparation, evaluation and completion of quotations and tenders to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services. 4. Participate in sustainability initiatives and workplace improvements, including energy management of facilities. 5. Implement the requirements of a planned maintenance programme in key areas such as water filtration, ice plant, ventilation, electrical and mechanical systems. Assist in monitoring the work/conduct of all casual maintenance staff, engineers and contractors who will carry out this work in the facility. 6. Assist in the administration support duties and record keeping in line with department needs. This will include manual paperwork and working with computer software including purchase ordering and the purchase of goods and services. 7. Help ensure that all child protection and vulnerable adult legislation, published relevant guidelines and Council policies are complied with in operation of the services and activities of the facility. To help ensure a safe environment for both customers and work colleagues. 8. Promote safe systems of work and risk management within the plant room environment. 9. Help ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained throughout all facility plant rooms and associated areas. General Duties 10. Undertake identified and approved training activities/updates and maintain the required skill level to carry out the requirements of the post. 11. Ensure the provision of high standards of customer care across all the services provided by the Unit and promote and manage the service effectively and communicate in a way, which enhances and promotes the public image and overall reputation of the Council. 12. Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Equality Legislation, and operate within the highest standards of organisational skills and personal behaviour, which reflect the core values and behaviours of the organisation. 13.
