Due to expansion and as part of our Apprenticeship Programme we are currently interested in recruiting 1st year Service Apprentices within Motor Mechanics to join our growing team in Mercedes-Benz Galway. The role: The apprenticeship offered will be for a 4-year period and will involve both on the job and off the job training. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally and internationally recognised FETAC Level 6 Craft Certificate. Commercial Transport Apprentice
First Year Apprentice Vacancy The Cope is offering a Commercial Transport Apprenticeship, within its Builders Providers division, for intake in September 2026. This role will support the operation of a busy warehouse and a regional delivery fleet of vans and lorries. This apprenticeship provides hands-on training in all aspects of commercial transport and logistics, including goods handling, safe loading and unloading, vehicle checks, route planning, customer deliveries, and warehouse operations. As the candidate progresses through their driving licences, they will gain practical, supervised experience operating a range of vehicles within the delivery fleet, building confidence and competence step by step. Alongside on-the-job learning, apprentices will complete formal training under the CDAP programme, developing the skills, safety awareness, and professional standards required for a long-term career in the transport and logistics sector. Key Responsibilities - Submission of all warranty claims accurately and within required timeframes. - Ensure full compliance with manufacturer warranty policies and procedures. - Liaise with Service Advisors, Technicians and Manufacturers to resolve warranty queries and discrepancies. - Review repair orders to confirm compliance with repair instructions. - Monitor claim approvals., rejections and payments, taking corrective action where required. Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice
The Trade of Carpentry & Joinery is very wide and varied. It encompasses most of the skills required by the Wood Trades. These skills required of the Carpenter & Joiner are not confined to those required to work in wood but include skills in the use of metals, plastics and fabrics. The Carpenter & Joiner is also required to work in a cross section of domains within the overall trade. The following are some examples: Joinery Shop: This section of the occupation requires the Carpenter & Joiner to engage in setting out, production and assembling items of joinery which include stairs, doors, windows and built-in furniture. Site Work: Site work is the construction of buildings or houses which require 1st fixing, formwork roofs and 2nd fixing. This section is split into two categories: constructing and civil engineering contracts. Maintenance: Maintenance work requires the Carpenter & Joiner to carry out a variety of tasks in general maintenance and upkeep of public and private buildings, e.g. shops and factories. There are other areas associated with the trade which include renovating buildings, shopfitting, and exhibition/display work. Contract type: Fixed term, [until 28 December 2029] Salary: €44,711 – €57,406 Close date: 14:00 on 29 June 2026 Key purpose of role This post arises from the Foclóir Stairiúil na Gaeilge development plan (2025–2029), which aims to deliver the first tranche of historical dictionary entries for the language of the period, drawn from a substantial digital corpus of Irish texts. The primary duties of the appointee will be working with corpus data to support, on a collaborative basis, members of the editorial team, under the supervision of the Editor. These duties will enhance the lexicographical workflow and be an integral part of dictionary production. Training will be available where specific technical tasks are identified. Key accountabilities Medical Staff shall, if required, and at the expense of the Academy, submit to a medical examination by a registered medical practitioner nominated by the Academy and shall authorise such medical practitioner to disclose and to discuss with the Academy the results of the examination and the matters which arise from it so that the Academy can ascertain any matters that they consider might impair a staff member from properly discharging his/her duties.
