MCST Coordinator

We are recruiting for an MCST Coordinator for our MCST Activity Club based in Monastery Close, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, E41 E6P4 , who will report to the Operations Manager. This is a purpose-only contract working 2.5 hours per week . The purpose of the role is to coordinate and facilitate the MCST Activity Club on a weekly basis. The club will provide weekly Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) activity sessions for people living with dementia. 1–2 years' experience working in a similar role is essential. The ASI is currently recruiting a Care Worker who will work in our Tipperary Day Care at Home Service . The successful candidate will work in assigned family homes in Nenagh and the surrounding areas . This is a permanent contract working 20 hours per week . The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care to people with dementia in the client's own home. You will need good communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative. To be successful in this position, it is essential that you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activities with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. Candidates in this area must have a full clean driving licence and access to a car to be considered for this role. A FETAC Level 5 qualification is desirable. Confidence in using IT and email is also desirable. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with the care sector and dependent on relevant experience.
