JOB DESCRIPTION – MULTI-TASK ASSISTANT – ENNISTYMON DAY CENTRE TITLE:  Multi-Task Assistant ROLE:  Working under the guidance of the Day Centre Manager, the Multi-task Assistant will support the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient person-centred care to clients in receipt of day care. OBJECTIVE: This is a 1 year part-time, fixed term contract of employment of 3 days per week  (Tuesday Thursday & Friday) to assist with the delivery of a Day Centre Service at Clarecare’s Day Centre facility in Ennistymon for up to 20 older persons on a daily basis.  JOB RELATIONS:   The Multi-Task Assistant will report to the Day Centre Manager and work closely with other Day Centre staff members e.g. Kitchen Assistant, Cook General Healthcare Assistants/Multi-Task Assistants, etc. The Multi-Task Assistant will also be part of the wider Older Persons Services Team in Clarecare. JOB LOCATION:   The position offered is currently based in Clarecare’s Ennistymon’s Day Centre at Lahinch Road, Ennistymon, Co. Clare but location may change based on operational requirements. HOURS OF WORK :  3 work days per week  (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). The working week inclusive of breaks will be  15hours  per week i.e. Tuesday 12 noon – 5.30p.m., Thursday 12 – 5.30 p.m. and Friday 11am – 3pm. ANNUAL LEAVE:   15.5 days (based on the above work hours per day) annual leave per full leave year (i.e. Jan-Dec inclusive). RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: General Responsibilities: SALARY/GRADE: The gross salary per annum on offer for this part-time 1 year fixed term contract position is €11,367.17 based on a gross hourly rate of €14.57 gross per hour worked which is subject to the normal statutory deductions i.e. PAYE/PRSI/USC. This gross hourly rate of pay will increase by a further 2% on 1st April 2026 and a further 2% on 1st October 2026 pending receipt of funding for same. This however, should not be interpreted as being indicative of any additional salary increases into the future, beyond the above stated terms. Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Membership on successful completion of probation (6 months). “My Future Fund” Government Pension Scheme duringthe 1st 6 months of probation at 1.5% of salary deduction by employee, matched by Clarecare and 0.5% contribution from Government.
