Physiotherapist, Senior, Community Neuro-rehabilitation Team, CHO
There is currently one 0.5 WTE (17.5 hours) permanent part-time vacancy available in the HSE South West, Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team (CNRT). The inital base for this post is Mallow, Co. Cork. The CNRT is an inter-disciplinary therapy team providing a specialised service for adults with a range of progressive or acquired neurological conditions. This is a multi-professional team including a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing and Administrative staff. This team will provide assessment and intensive therapy to people in both their own homes and in a clinic based setting for up to a period of 12 weeks. This service will provide people with earlier access to specialist rehabilitation close to home. The team provide a person centred service, improving people’s quality of life and working together to support people with neuro-rehabilitative needs. The Physiotherapist, Senior will be: Responsible for the provision and delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy Service for persons with acquired and progressive neurological conditions in accordance with standards of professional practice. To work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation. To work with the Physiotherapist, Manager in ensuring the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred physiotherapy service across and between networks in the geographical area. To carry out clinical, educational and administrative duties as required. The post involves working autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team within a community setting. We work in partnership with Woven Housing Association and South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust to provide support to individuals living in their own home. Johnston Way consists of two bungalows designed to accommodate eight individuals. Each consists of communal living areas, kitchen areas and en suite bedrooms. There is also an enclosed garden area. The Service operates under the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Framework and provides care and support on a 24-hour basis. The Role: The role of Support Assistant requires a team approach at all times with effective working relationships for the benefit of the service user. Essential Criteria: A minimum of 6 months caring experience (paid employment or personal caring responsibilities). Effective verbal and written communication to include numeracy skills. Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities. Demonstratable understanding and knowledge on behaviours that challenge. Basic Occupational Therapist - Adult Services
St. Michael’s House Basic Grade Occupational Therapist- Adult Services Full-time (35 hours/week) St. Michael’s House seeks to employ proactive and progressive individuals who identify with the ethos of providing a continuum of innovative services that support people with a disability to integrate with their community. We are currently seeking applications from Occupational Therapists interested in joining the established Adult Services Occupational Therapy team. This recruitment process is carried out to fill a full-time permanent Basic Grade Occupational Therapist post in St. Michael’s House Adult Services . The position will be working with adults with an intellectual disability and complex needs. The post will be based in St. Michael’s House Ballymun Clinic (Glasnevin) but may involve service provision across Adult Services in St. Michael’s House. Supervision will be available from an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist on the team and Line Management will be under the Occupational Therapy Manager.
