And (iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. 2. Annual Registration (i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU. And (ii) Practitioners confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 3. Health A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. 4. Character Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character. About the role: Reporting to the Designated Officer, the purpose of the Safeguarding Social Worker role is to provide professional social work leadership and intervention in relation to safeguarding concerns, ensuring that adults at risk and children are protected from harm through rights-based, person-centred, proportionate and legally compliant safeguarding practice. They will have primary responsibility for the HSE Safeguarding Portal, providing professional oversight, quality assurance, coordination and governance of safeguarding referrals and organisational safeguarding responses, ensuring compliance with HSE safeguarding requirements, rights-based practice, timely escalation and effective interagency safeguarding management. The role will be part of the Office of the Designated Officer, that sits with the Director of Health, Safety and Risk. It sits at the intersection of safeguarding, human rights, risk management, advocacy, social justice, capacity and consent, and interagency protection systems.
