About the role: Reporting to the Designated Officer, the purpose of the Safeguarding Social Worker role is to provide professional social work leadership and intervention in relation to safeguarding concerns, ensuring that adults at risk and children are protected from harm through rights-based, person-centred, proportionate and legally compliant safeguarding practice. They will have primary responsibility for the HSE Safeguarding Portal, providing professional oversight, quality assurance, coordination and governance of safeguarding referrals and organisational safeguarding responses, ensuring compliance with HSE safeguarding requirements, rights-based practice, timely escalation and effective interagency safeguarding management. The role will be part of the Office of the Designated Officer, that sits with the Director of Health, Safety and Risk.
