Heating / Mechanical Inspector

BAND: 5 JOB PURPOSE: The post holder with regard to Mechanical Inspection will provide an inspection service on all Natural Gas, Oil, planned and response maintenance contracts to ensure the NIHE that all installations, servicing, and maintenance has been carried out in accordance with the contract documentation and the Statutory Regulations, materials and workmanship. The post holder will inspect and measure works completed at various stages throughout construction including relevant certifications updating these on the NIHE computer database and maintain detailed records. The post holder will forward a report on their findings to the M&E Project Manager/Inspectorate Manager on a weekly basis. REQUIREMENTS: 1. General The Maintenance Foreman will: · Be responsible for the Development, constant updating and tracking of a new Asset Register system for Donegal IHA Property Portfolio. · Be the custodian of all relevant maintenance documentation and asset lists which forms part of the new NEIS [National Estates Information System]. · Maintain accurate maintenance records, service documentation and asset information within approved HSE maintenance management systems to support compliance and operational reporting · Support and update the Maintenance Manager/DON on all SLA’s by 3rd party maintenance companies inclusive of reactive works by surveying maintained assets regularly. Purpose of the Job As part of the Maintenance team the Maintenance Fitter will assist in problem solving activities on key technical equipment problems and provide support to maintenance teams on technical equipment when required. They will work closely with all staff in each area to ensure the smooth running of core business plant, maximise the utilization of machinery and equipment, proactively work to eliminate plant downtime and make improvements to the processes. Hours of Work Dayshift: Thursday to Sunday; 7.00am to 5.30pm Flexibility required to cover days, as required, during holiday periods / project work, etc.
