The Roads & Utilities team sits within the Control function of Asset Operations. The team will have overall responsibility standing up and implementing a consistent Road Opening Licence and Reinstatement structure for Asset Operations works nationwide. The team will drive the establishment of arrangements with other utilities and stakeholders where Uisce Éireann infrastructure interface including with rail, electricity, gas, waterways, and telecoms agencies. The Roads and Utilities Engineer will be a key member of the Roads & Utilities team and will report to the Roads & Utilities Lead. The role will support the implementation and management of standardised national processes and ways of working for Road Opening Licencing and Reinstatements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, Department of Transport guidelines (TII Specifications and other) and industry best practices. The role will support Regional Operations in progressing legacy issues, transitioning to the future model and the development of strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The Roads and Utilities Engineer will assist in establishing arrangements with other utilities and stakeholders where Uisce Éireann infrastructure interface including with rail, electricity, gas, waterways, and telecoms agencies. Health, Safety & Compliance: • Maintain a safe and secure environment for service users, scheme participants, and volunteers, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations. • Continuously assess operational risks, addressing concerns promptly in collaboration with the conference and reporting to the line manager as necessary. • Ensure all scheme participants, and volunteers are up-to-date with mandatory training requirements. Catering & Nutrition: • Plan, procure, and oversee the preparation and service of nutritious meals, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. • Participate in food preparation as needed, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Facility Maintenance: • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, and all communal spaces to a high standard.
