REF: 100127 Blanchardstown Children’s Disability Network Team is an interdisciplinary team providing assessment and intervention to children and young people aged 0-18 years who have complex needs arising from a disability. The Senior Social Work Practitioner is a core member of the CDNT and is central to the promotion and delivery of frontline health and social services. As part of the CDNT the social worker provides support to the most complex families attending the service who are experiencing difficulty or distress in relation to the physical, mental and /or emotional wellbeing of family members. Much of the work is carried out with the family and systems surrounding the child including health, welfare and education services, providing a holistic approach promoting the safety and welfare of the children attending the service. The role will also include supporting families before, during and post diagnosis. Using the key principles of the Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People programme as a model of service which is based on family centred practice and interdisciplinary team working, these teams provide therapeutic assessment and intervention to children aged between 0-18 years. The CDNT’s are charged with the delivery of an efficient and effective health and personal social service for children and young people with complex needs relating to a disability. These teams include Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work, Pediatrician and Nursing. Essential: · A NQSW or equivalent · 3 years post qualification experience · Be registered with the Social Workers Professional Register (CORU) and have an active CPD Portfolio · Permit to work in Republic of Ireland · Full clean driving licence and use of a car · Have experience of working with children with complex needs and their families and/or experience in working within children and family services in the community · Have experience of working in services which operate and comply with child protection procedures in line with Children First National Guidelines · Experience in supervising, mentoring and supporting staff Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework Why work with us? KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB To support the Digital and Innovation Officer in the delivery of a number of digital transformation projects across the Council. As a member of the Innovation Unit, the post holder will be required to: • Work as part of a team, concentrating on IT and Digital Transformation projects and supporting the wider team in project activities. • Provide support for staff across Council sites requiring IT support with digital applications and digitally led projects. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support teams in Lisburn Castlereagh City Council that are participating in a number of transformation projects, including: • Customer Experience Platform • Finance • Waste Operations – Digital Depot • New websites • Planning • Microsoft 365 rollout During your apprenticeship, you will have a minimum of two key areas of work, offering the opportunity to see the breadth of work being undertaken across Lisburn Castlereagh City Council. During this apprenticeship, you will develop a range of skills, such as: • Cyber Security • Process mapping and service design approaches • Making effective use of data • Presenting information in creative and engaging ways • Communication skills • Organisational skills • Agile project management • Website development • Structuring, extracting, and understanding data • Presenting information in creative and engaging ways Support the TPO team in the delivery of specific Digital and Innovation Strategy projects, including documenting sprint meetings and updating project plans. Support the TPO team and Project Managers in the management of data usage across Council digital systems. Liaise with Council Tech Leads and/or suppliers to help ensure the Council’s systems run smoothly. Develop a good understanding of the Council’s digital packages so that problems can be identified at an early stage and logged or resolved with suppliers to minimise disruption to service users. Help configure data contained within the Council’s corporate customer platform and support teams onboarding to the platform where necessary. This may include designing new e-forms and amending existing e-forms within the system. Support the internal communication mechanisms of the Digital and Innovation Strategy.
