Role Profile We have an opportunity in Dungarvan for a Laboratory Technician to join us on a fixed term contract. As a Lab technician, you will be working with a dedicated team of technicians, laboratory manager and team members to carry out a range of Chemistry and Microbiology analyses relevant to milk quality control and quality assurance. Role Summary We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician at Tirlán Virginia on a fixed term contract basis.The position will report to the QC Manager and will be primarily based in the chemical and physical testing laboratory with cover for other laboratory activities on site. The role will involve testing at all stages of production – raw materials, in-process and finished goods. This position is part of the laboratory shift rota covering seven days per week. Risk Critical Information Technician
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) serves the entire community, a population of 1.9 million in an area of over 5,500 square miles. NIFRS wish to invite applications for the following role: Risk Critical Information Technician - Job Ref N189/08/2025 The Risk Critical Information Technician will support the Risk Critical Information Business Unit in the provision of an efficient and effective Risk Critical Information (RCI) facility for NIFRS. They will create suites of risk critical information relating to the hazard identification, risk control measures, fire prevention and protection measures for premises regarded by NIFRS of being higher risk to the community, firefighters, the economy or the environment. The Risk Critical Information Technician will support the Station Commander (RCI) to ensure the effective promotion and mainstreaming of equality within the NIFRS, with a focus on equality profiling and reporting, training and the provision of advice and guidance on fair employment and anti-discrimination legislation and the statutory equality duties under Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998. Hours of work; Currently 36¼ hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation. In view of the level of this appointment, the post holder will be required to work in such a way as to fulfil the obligations of the post. There is currently two permanent post for based at NIFRS HQ in Lisburn. This recruitment and selection process will also be used to fill future vacancies, a reserve list will be created for 12 months should any additional permanent or fixed term vacancies arise (offers of posts will be made in merit order). Salary The salary scale is Scale 5. The salary range is currently £28,163 - £30,060 per annum (Under review). Role Profile We have an opportunity for someone to join our team to manage the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities in operation at Tirlán Lough Egish on a fixed term contract. You will liaise with external contractors for the maintenance and repair of same & will be responsible for running and maintaining the preventative maintenance system to pre-determined guidelines. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the role will be salary based and include nightshift.
