Position Description As a Customer Care Assistant, think of yourself as the face of your restaurant. In a nutshell, you'll deal with customers and make sure everything runs as it should in the customer areas. Activities include making children feel welcome, handing out balloons, looking after customers' specific needs, keeping high standards of cleanliness in the dining area and toilets and helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's your responsibility to establish and maintain positive communication with customers at all times and to keep the manager informed about customer satisfaction. A franchised restaurant is a restaurant operated by a local business person trading under the McDonald's name. Currently most of our restaurants in Ireland are franchised but from a customer point of view there's no difference. Position Requirements Quite simply, you'll be working in our fast moving, high energy environment and we’re looking for a genuine smile plus an ability to connect with customers and make them feel valued. Position Attributes You’ll need to be confident in approaching and dealing with diverse groups of people. Friendly, courteous and helpful behaviour will come naturally to you and you’ll work well as part of a team. Effective communication skills such as attentive listening, face-to-face verbal communication and eye contact are a must. You’ll also need to understand the importance of maintaining high standards of service as well as cleanliness. The ability to work both efficiently and productively is essential. In collaboration with the Production Manager/Supervisor monitor, identify and implement projects to improve production process/business process efficiencies including projects to increase yield, reduce throughput times, improve process flows, reduce costs and eliminate waste / distressed inventory. Target areas of downtime through various forums to target improvement areas in production and across the site. Partner with key stakeholders on planning and supporting the manufacturing production schedule. Manage manufacturing products system changes including generation and update of SOP’s, Batch Records and product Change plans where necessary. Build quality into all aspects of work by ensuring compliance to all quality requirements. Qualifications So, what do you need to do this role? Education & Experience: A relevant 3rd level degree in Science or Engineering with ideally 2 +years’ experience working within a production manufacturing environment (Oral Sold Dosage) is preferred. Experience on a wide range of equipment and systems preferred. Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to perform detail-orientated work with a high degree of accuracy.
