The Escort will be required to work as part of a team with the Bus Driver. They will be required to make arrangements with their nominated Driver re pick up & Drop off points. They will be on a route collecting Service Users with physical and intellectual disabilities from their homes, take them to day centres in the morning and then return them home in the afternoon. They must liaise with the parents and staff relaying any relevant information between both parties. The Escorts will be required to assist Service users onto the bus and ensure that they are safely strapped in for the journey, and assist them off the bus when they reach their destination. Average journey times would be in the morning from 8am to 11:00 am and in the afternoon from 2.00 pm to 5:00 pm, 6 hours per day, depending on the route.
