PURPOSE: The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, motivated experienced senior nurse manager to manage the hospital out of hours. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Site Nurse Manager (SNM) has a responsibility to manage the hospital out of hours and will cover evening, weekend and night duty shifts as per agreed roster arrangements. The post holder in conjunction with the Nursing Executive is responsible for ensuring a quality and safe patient care environment. The SNM will work in close collaboration with senior management team, medical, nursing and health and social care professional and other staff as appropriate, to ensure the safe and effective running of the hospital. Opthalmic Technician
The Ophthalmology Technician will have work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality ophthalmic diagnostic and technical services to patients attending the department. The post holder will have responsibility for performing ocular diagnostics and imaging. With particular responsibility for assisting and performing visual field assessment, ophthalmic electrodiagnostic investigations and colour vision testing, ensuring that all investigations are carried out safely, accurately and in accordance with departmental protocols and HSE policies in the busy Department of Ophthalmology within the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital campus.
Senior Physiotherapist Oncology & Haematology Service
The job purpose is to provide leadership and operational management for the physiotherapy oncology & haematology service. To lead the design, co-ordination and delivery of an effective and efficient rehabilitation service for patients with oncology-related rehabilitation needs. To ensure the provision of a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to patients in order to facilitate timely, safe and effective treatment with appropriate discharge planning. To work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic intervention and discharge planning along the palliative care pathway. To provide physiotherapy leadership to the oncology & haematology rehabilitation team and link closely with the medical and surgical teams, surgical oncology physiotherapy seniors and the wider MDT. To lead on service development, evidence based practice, audit, risk assessment and implementation of change as required. To lead on development of the physiotherapy team and support education and training of senior, staff grade and assistant staff, as well as undergraduate and post-graduate clinical education.
