Clinical Nurse Manager, Theatre
Purpose of the Role: The post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. The role will proactively manage the Theatre daily activities, together with the CNM2 to provide quality and safety outcomes for patients and their families. St. Michael’s House is a community based voluntary organisation founded in 1955 which provides facilities and services to over 1,700 people with intellectual disabilities and their families in the greater Dublin area. Within Adult Services we provide services in three regions: North Region (Ballymun); North-East Region (Coolock & Baldoyle); Southern Region (Goatstown). We are currently looking to recruit for the following post: 1 x Basic Grade Speech & Language Therapist - Adult Services (Full-time Permanent) Salary in line with HSE Oct 2023 consolidated pay scales €41,075 – €59,360 All Job offer is subject to approval under the process of funded posts in Disability Services in the HSE and Section 38 Agencies This is an exciting opportunity to join our existing team of Speech and Language Therapists in delivering quality Speech and Language Therapy Services to adults with intellectual disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services to adults with intellectual disabilities, under the direction of the SLT Manager and supervising Senior SLT, and in close cooperation with multi-disciplinary clinical and frontline colleagues. This post will be based in the North Region, however will require some flexibility across the St. Michael’s House regions in response to service user needs. Supervision will be provided by experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapists and the SLT Manager. St. Michael’s House seeks to employ proactive and progressive individuals who identify with the ethos of providing a continuum of innovative services that support people with an intellectual disability to live full lives in the community. CNM Discharge Coordinator
Job Purpose/Role The role of the Discharge Co-Ordinator is to ensure, with the inter-disciplinary team members, efficient and effective patient flow process between admission and discharge within the hospital. He/she will facilitate prioritisation of investigations/procedures, in consultation with clinicians and relevant health care staff, as well as address other critical factors that may impact on decisions to discharge patients. A key component of this role includes the further development of existing liaison between the hospital and our community partners (including Public Health Nurses, Director of Nursing in Nursing Home’s, Health Service Executive, Post-Acute Care). The post holder will have responsibility for reviewing patients from our catchment area and elsewhere who frequently present at our Emergency Department for admission, with a view to specific care planning to support admission avoidance or expedited discharge. Basic Respiratory Physiologist
We are looking for respiratory physiologists to join our dynamic and growing team of Respiratory Physiologists working alongside a strong team of specialist respiratory nurses and 8 Respiratory Consultants. The Mater hospital is the National centre for heart and lung transplantation and pulmonary hypertension to name a few. So therefore you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in diagnosing a wide range of respiratory conditions from our unique patient cohorts. The PFT lab perform and report on a range of respiratory and sleep diagnostics procedures with scope for expanding our diagnostic capabilities. We currently perform and report on the following tests: · Spirometry & reversibility testing. · Full pulmonary function testing (including Plethysmography). · Methacholine challenge testing. · MIP, MEP & SNIP. · CPET. · Setup, analysis and scoring of limited sleep studies. · Skin Prick allergy testing. All physiologists in the lab will work between the hospital and in the integrated care hub in the community. Job Purpose: The purpose of the Medical Secretary Grade IV is to provide an exceptional and comprehensive support service delivery within the various Departments in CVRRE Directorate (Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Renal, Respiratory and Endocrinology) in consideration of Patient Care and the Departmental Administration Team. The Grade IV Medical Secretary will ensure that all duties, roles and responsibilities are completed to the required operational standards in line with the competency framework. In order to meet the service needs of the hospital the post holder may be required from time to time to work at different locations to the normal place of work i.e. across the Hospital Directorates.
