The Role: The Permanent Part-Time Senior Physiotherapist will be responsible for the delivery of Physiotherapy support to Children accessing Children’s Disability Network Team 6 (CDNT6). CDNT6 provide services to children from 0-18 with complex development needs which include physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities and autism. The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland (BOCSI) are the lead agency for this team. CDNT’s are interdisciplinary teams who work within a Family Centred Practice model and work collaboratively with children, families and other stakeholders to meet goals identified by the family. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a physiotherapy service to include assessment, diagnostics and delivering intervention to children and young persons in clinic, school, home and community settings. CDNT6 covers a geographical area of: Galway City East, Claregalway, Gort, Headford and Oranmore. There are 2 positions available: Working Hours: Hours will be within the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Contracted hours are liable to change between the hours of 8am– 8pm as future service needs require. We support them to further their education (both internal and external to the Service) and to build their independent living skills if this is their choice. Location: Failte Community Services is a Community Outreach Programme which provides multi- disciplinary support to Adults with a Mild Intellectual Disability. Many of those we support wish to live independently in Galway City and County, to access education, work/leisure activities and community day services for young adults graduating from school or training programmes as well as those needing support with making informed choices, daily life issues, relationships and health and well-being. The service aims to promote independence through enabling adults to live a full and active life safely in their communities. This is achieved through the provision of therapeutic supports, frontline services and the promotion of meaningful community engagement. We work in on going partnership with people supported by the service and other agencies to maximise the use of community resources. We provide a services which are person centred and individualised, adaptable and versatile in order to respond to the needs of people supported by the service. All the supports are underpinned by our BOC policies and procedures, Personal Outcome Measures, Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and HSE Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse. The Role: Community Support Workers Horizon Programme provide a key-working supportive role and assist in the delivery of community support to individuals with Mild Intellectual Disability and sometimes a secondary diagnosis of Mental Health, some of whom may present with behaviours or lifestyles that can be deemed as challenging. This role comprises of mainly one to one working with individuals in the local community or sometimes in their own homes. JOB DESCRIPTION Galway City Council is seeking to form panels from which permanent, temporary and temporary seasonal posts may be filled at General Operative grade. The General Operative grade is an entry-level outdoor grade in Galway City Council and is a critical post in terms of ensuring quality service delivery to the public. Typical services include roads and transportation, maintenance of social housing units and estates, environmental, upkeep of recreation and amenity facilities etc. The role is likely to be outdoors, operational and manual and the duties will vary according to the functional area to which the person is assigned.
