CNM, Injury Unit
The existing Minor Injuries Unit in Cashel is being expanded and the services uplifted to become a Local Injuries Unit. As part of this reformation the Governances will transfer to Tipperary University Hospital. This is a newly created CNM 2 position. The purpose is to lead a team of Registered Nurse and Health Care Assistants, working in conjunction with the CIU Advanced Nurse Practitioners and medical team and other MDT members.

This post is to support the management of the Integrated Management System (IPMS), the administrative functions of the iSOFT product including patient index, inpatient administrative functions (admissions, transfers, discharges), outpatient scheduling, chart tracking, bed management and patient billing, provide training to all users and co-ordinate iPMS version upgrades enhancement system testing in Tipperary University Hospital. The purpose of the post is to manage the Operational Performance of the iPMS Patient Management System across Tipperary University Hospital including the co-ordination of version updates/enhancements and testing in line with project plans and works with the Group Co-ordinator on progress and testing issues.
Advanced Specialist Pharmacist, Pharmacotherapy
The Pharmacy Department at Tipperary University Hospital provides pharmaceutical services in the hospital which include; dispensary services, stock top up services, medicines information, provision of chemotherapy and some ward-based clinical pharmacy services. Pharmacy services are provided by the department to patients being treated in the following specialities; medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, intensive care, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine and psychiatry (including outpatient clozapine, depot dispensing and residential unit medication supply). The department also provides services to Caredoc, Health Centres, Community Care Clinics, Vaccines, Occupational Health. The team structure within the department comprises pharmacists, technicians, clerical administration and portering staff.
