The role involves a travel remit across multiple centres in Limerick and Roscrea, with an occasional travel to Dublin. Working closely with the Director of HR, the post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service to management and staff in the organisation. The key areas of responsibility are Change Management, Recruitment and Retention and Workforce Planning, Learning and Development, Performance Development, Employee Relations and HR Compliance. Project Worker
Project Worker – Full Time Location: Clonmel, Tipperary Purpose of the Post To work with the Service Manager and within the authority delegated to the post holder by the service manager; to assist in the day to day running of the service whilst remaining on the roster. The Project Worker will be responsible for: processing referrals, conducting assessments; care/support planning and implementation of care/support plans; engaging with service users; supporting service users with move on plans; managing maintenance issues; delivering practice supervision. The Project Worker will play a key role in recruiting, mentoring and supporting staff and students (if applicable) in order to ensure that the highest level and standards of social care practice are further developed and maintained in the service. In addition to this, the post holder will act on behalf of the Service Manager and provide out of hours on call support where designated.
Projector Worker, TSO
The TSO role has been initiated as a customised model of support for tenants of approved housing bodies, typically experiencing Mental Health difficulties, at risk of losing their tenancy. To engage people, conduct an assessment and make appropriate referrals to health and social services inclusive of Tusla where appropriate. The officer will be assigned to Tipperary/Kilkenny and will provide cover to their colleague due to training and leave. It is informed by the National and Local Housing Strategies for People with a Disability, Sharing the Vision (Dept of Health, 2020), Housing for All- A new housing plan for Ireland (Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, 2021) and the HSE’s National Recovery Framework (HSE, 2018). Funding has been sourced from the Carlow/Kilkenny HSE Mental Health Services and the Good Shepherd Centre to employ a part time support worker (19 hours per week) and a healthcare worker/cleaner (15 hours per week) through the Grant Aid process. Secure tenancies with support are recognized as the way forward for many of those with complex needs. The TSO Project now requires two officers x 39hrs per week to support tenants under the programme. The Good Shepherd Centre in conjunction with Mental Health Service Area 5 Kilkenny and in partnership with Carlow County Council/Tipperary and Kilkenny will provide TSO support and a recovery orientated tenancy sustainment programme.

Job Title: Shift Attendant Location: Clonmel, Tipperary Purpose of the Post The purpose of the post is to assist the Service to provide safe secure accommodation and support to homeless families, parents and children. To provide an efficient and high-quality service through engaging with people who are homeless in their identified support needs. Environment of the Post GSCM provides emergency accommodation for up to 8 families accessing emergency accommodation. The services are low threshold in nature. Guidance and Authority The post holder will report to the team leader, who reports to the service manager. Supervision will be provided. The Service Manager reports to a Head of Services, who reports to the CEO. The Board oversees all work. The post holder will work each shift as assigned, informed by and in accordance with service policies and individual care/support plans. The post holder will be expected to act in a way that is consistent with decisions made by team leader and as directed by the manager. The post holder will be expected to participate on occasion in team meetings, supervision and in internal and external training when required. The post holder will at all times operate in a professional manner maintaining a high quality standard of work, and to always work in accordance with aims, values and ethos of GSCM.
