Duties and Responsibilities · Balance Sheet o Work with the Financial Accountant to prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the purposes of monthly management accounts · Banking & Cashflow o Maintain register of bank accounts in use o Manage administration connected to bank accounts, bank mandates, etc. o Prepare monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts o Monitor cashflow to ensure organisational requirements are met · Credit/Purchasing Cards o Maintain the register of VISA Purchasing Cards o Order/Cancel VISA Purchasing Cards as required by the Services o Downloading and circulate VISA Card statements o Review and input the VISA confirmations returned · Accounts Payable & Procurement o Manage administration connected to the implementation of National Procurement Contracts o Prepare procurement compliance monitoring reports and other statutory reports o Provide support to the Accounts Payable function as required · Finance Department Cover o Provide hands-on cover for the Accounts Officer during periods of planned leave and other absence o Provide hands-on cover for the Financial Accountant during periods of planned leave and other absence · Other o Participate in special projects as required o Provide guidance on finance issues to service area administrative staff o Represent the organisation on national working groups as required · Support Head of Finance, Finance Operations Manager and Financial Accountant with ad hoc project work and other finance tasks as required This is not an exhaustive list of duties and staff will be required to undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade and in line with the requirement of this post. Tenure The current vacancy available is permanent, pensionable and whole time. Remuneration The Salary scale for this Grade VI post is: €57,325, €58,691, €60,359,€63,491, €65,363, €67,695, €70,034 LSIs New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies. Working Week The standard working week applying to the post is 35 hours. Annual Leave The annual leave associated with the post will be confirmed at job offer stage. Superannuation This is a pensionable position. The successful candidate will upon appointment become a member of the appropriate pension scheme. Age The Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Act, 2018* set 70 years as the compulsory retirement age for public servants. * Public Servants not affected by this legislation: Public servants joining the public service, or re-joining the public service with a 26 week break in service, between 1 April 2004 and 31 December 2012 (new entrants) have no compulsory retirement age. Probation Every appointment of a person who is not already a permanent officer of the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland shall be subject to a probationary period of 9 months. Health & Safety Have a working knowledge of Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc. and comply with associated employer protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role.

Details of Service The Maintenance Department for the HSE South Donegal/Sligo/Leitrim/West Cavan maintenance and building services to HSE operated buildings. The range of building and equipment services provided by the department include: - Heating and cooling systems, LPHW systems, clean air systems, air handling units, hot and cold water services, sewage treatment plants, water treatment services; RO plants, water softener plants, UV systems, catering equipment, refrigeration plants, cook-chill equipment, laundry equipment, steam boilers, medical gases plants, natural gas systems, LPG systems, gas and heavy oil systems. - Life saving equipment; fire detection systems, emergency lighting systems, passive fire prevention systems, fire hydrants and portable/fixed fire fighting equipment. - Service Contract management, assess register management.
