The Bruach na Mara Services operate in South Connemara, Co. Galway, where there are a range of services including day, residential, respite, family support services, training, education, employment opportunities, outreach community support services, Individualised services, and leisure activities to support 46 individuals. The Bruach Na Mara Services has a staff complement of 86 whole time equivalent staff and has an operating budget of just over €5 million. The Services were officially opened in 1983 in order to provide a community based service for individuals from the South Connemara region many of whom use Irish as their first language. Currently we provide services for 70 adults. We provide 14 locations between Furbo and Carraroe, and support people from all areas of South Connemara. The Service Coordinator, under the guidance of the Area Manager and supported by local staff teams, is responsible for the coordination and continued development of these services. Reporting/Responsible to: Area Manager/Sector Manager Qualifications/Experience: Skills: Excellent leadership, managerial and team-working skills are required to co-ordinate and support the service teams and to ensure that a range of high quality services are provided. Excellent communication and organisational skills together with up to date knowledge of current thinking and practices in person centred service delivery. Working Hours: Normal working week will be rostered on 7 daybasis including rostered weekends. Your fortnightly complement of working hours will be based on the grade of the successful candidate (Nursing/Social Care/Mgmt). Contracted hours of work are liable to change over seven days to meet requirements of the post and flexibility with regard to your hours of duty will be required to fulfil the duties of the post. An On-call commitment is an essential requirement of this post. The Service Coordinator will be on call after working hours during the normal working week, at weekends, covering holidays as part of a rostered on call system. In exceptional circumstances sleep-ins and night duty may be required. The Service Coordinator will be assigned person-in-charge (PIC) responsibilities under the HIQA Regulations. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: Leave will be granted according to the agreed leave assigned to the grade of the successful candidate i.e. (CNM3/Social Care) Remuneration: Based on the salary scale attached to the grade of the successful candidate i.e. (CNM3/Social Care) Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. Services are provided in acute and psychiatric in patient settings, day hospitals, Out-patient department and community settings. The HSE has created 6 new health regions. The Service also delivers care for older adults in a setting under the regulation of HIQA The Pharmacy Department provides pharmacy services to Eist Linn (Child and Adolescent Mental Health) in-patient unit based in Bessborough, Cork and operates a Clozapine service for a catchment area of Cork North IHA. The Pharmacy Department provides accurate and independent information and education about medicines to other healthcare professionals, service users and carers. Clinical and dispensing activities are provided to facilitate the management of medicines by our service users. We also provide support to ensure that medicines management resources are used cost effectively within Cork North IHA. The team structure within the service comprises of a multidisciplinary team including: consultant psychiatrists, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, health and social services professionals, clerical administration and general support staff. Details of Service The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Clinical Placement Coordinator Integrated (Paediatrics) will work as a member of the Paediatric team in CUH Nurse Practice Development unit (NPDU). The role supports and guides all BSc nursing students in CUHG children’s services and BSc Children & General Integrated Nursing students allocated to CUMH services. The CPC (Paediatrics) position plays an integral role in our nursing team offering valuable support to nurture and guide BSc Nursing students during their allocated clinical placements in children’ services in CUHG. The NPDU is a dynamic workforce led by Nurse Practice Development co-ordinators and two teams comprise of Allocations Liaison Officers, Clinical Placement Coordinators, Documentation Officer and Clinical Educator (Practice Development). The purpose of this unit is the Co-ordination and management of undergraduate and post graduate Nurse clinical education, practice development and providing support to registered nurse preceptors and newly qualified nurses. The CPC (Paediatrics) will manage practice development initiatives relevant to supporting safe, best practice nursing care to children and supporting BSc Nursing student’s learning. NPDU is located in Cork University Hospital (CUH) site. CUH is a centre of excellence within in the South/South West Hospital Group in Ireland. It is the largest university teaching hospital in Ireland incorporating four clinical Directorates; Medicine, Surgery, Women and Children and Diagnostics. It is a Level 1 Trauma centre in Ireland due to the presence of over 40 different medical and surgical specialties on the campus. General specialties including : Neurosciences, Cardiac Services, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Renal, Internal Medicine, Vascular, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Maxillary-Facial, Intensive Care, Haematology and Burns and Oncology (Regional Cancer centre). The Paediatric unit is situated within the Women and Children Directorate in the hospital. The service provides care for children ranging between 0 -16 years, incorporating acute Paediatric care, children with chronic illnesses and children at risk. Surgery includes neurosurgery, plastics, ophthalmology, urology, orthopaedics and general surgery. Medical specialty services include: Respiratory medicine including Cystic Fibrosis; Diabetes and Endocrinology; Neurology including Spina Bifida; Allergy/Immunology; Haemophila and Rheumatology Clinics; Gastro/Coeliac and an Out-Reach Cardiology Clinic for Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in conjunction with Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital (OLHC), Crumlin. Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) is adjacent to CUH on the same campus.The neonatal unit (NNU) is located on level 3 providing all aspects of medical care for new-born infants. NNU is divided into two areas; intensive care and intermediate care. Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be operational from 2024. Each Health Region will be tasked with population specific planning resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision-making closer to the frontline. Health Regions will enable and empower staff to provide services that are: • Integrated, locally planned and delivered • Easier to access and navigate • Available closer to home Health Regions are geographically-based units with clearly defined populations. Stock Administration Place orders in response to customer demand over and above PNS where specific situations require it. In specific circumstances where authorised, source parts with other centres on interdealer arrangement and organise collection. Locate parts to the appropriate bin location, ensuring that trade deliveries are placed in the goods outwards or appropriate designated area. Key Responsibilities: Administration • Ensure the customer is advised as to the type, range and cost of the repair order, and follow-up any incomplete work or future requirements the vehicle may have for repair or service. • Agree method of payment before work commences and obtain repair order customer signature. • Ensure payment for repairs and servicing of vehicles is collected as per company policy. • Ensure correct procedures are adopted for verification of payment by credit card or charge card. • Ensure all warranty work has been identified, explained and signed for by the customer. • Accurately maintain document control systems. • Ensure customers are made aware of vehicle defects and that they sign a declaration prior to taking the vehicle away without repair. • Constantly review all areas of responsibility and discuss with the Aftersales Manager any ideas that may be made for improvement. • Maintain effective liaison with customers and other members of dealership staff. • Present completed vehicles to the customer, advising of any future requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work carried out. • Advise the Aftersales Manager of all customer problems and any departmental problems. • Ensure courteous use of the telephone, adhering to company and manufacturer policy. • Maintain a high standard of dress and conduct at all times and ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times. • Ensure that a sufficient number of courtesy / hire vehicles are available for customer use. • Assist with the drive, calculation and communication of any incentives and performance updates. • Proactively complete on-line training and attend on and off-site training courses. • Take an active part in upholding the company’s Health and Safety policy as set out in the conditions of employment and health and safety handbook. • Liaise with customers via the outbound telephone calls with progress updates and additional authority calls when required. • To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required and identified by the company. Obtain written confirmation before ordering major units and obtain suitable deposits. • Ensure all cash sales are charged and money collected on completion of work. • Document all warranty, goodwill work as per manufacturers’ requirements and dealership policy, and ensure all repair orders are correctly completed to ensure customer’s claims are processed fairly and in a timely manner to maintain the image of the franchise.
