Higher Planning Officer
Job Purpose: The purpose of this post is to provide a high quality and efficient Planning Service to the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council area. To provide support to the team in meeting all statutory requirements and ensuring effective performance whilst supporting training and development for staff to meet the needs of the business and all customers in accordance with best practice standards and other performance measures. The job will be based in the Development Management Section of the Council’s Planning Department where the post holder will be responsible for the processing of planning applications. However, the post may involve opportunities to work across other sections of the Community and Growth Directorate of the Council including the preparation and delivery of the Local Development Plan or enforcement of planning controls. Facility Manager
JOB PURPOSE: The postholder will support the Programme Manager (Facilities and Services) by providing direct operational management across Council community centres and town halls to include management of both staff and resources. The post holder will deliver a high-quality service, promote and be accountable for the hire of the facility and its resources to the public and external organisations by effective management of a comprehensive customer centered service. Deliver a range of activities and programs to meet locally identified and agreed outcomes and engage in centre-based outreach and community development work in keeping with the Council’s overall development approach contained in the Corporate Plan. Responsible for the efficient, effective operational and budgetary management of the Community Centre. The post will require a high level of customer service, and ability to deal with and resolve issues using personal and professional judgement, building relationships with the public and officers at all levels and promoting the profile of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
