Cork. Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) provide specialised support and services for children who have a disability and complex health needs associated with their disability. The CDNT supports a child’s development, wellbeing and participation in family and community life. CDNTs include health and social care professionals from a variety of disciplines. The team works with the child and its family, sharing knowledge, information and skills to support the child’s development goals as identified as part of their Individual Family Support Plan. Team members can meet children and their families in their home, school or in the CDNT’s office. This is an exciting opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to support the team, children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability. The purpose of the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) role is to carry out delegated aspects of client care under the direction of a supervising Occupational Therapist. The role includes clinical and administrative duties that support Occupational Therapists on the Children’s Disability Network Team in providing a high-quality service to users.
