General Manager
Principal Duties and Responsibilities The principal duties and responsibilities of the General Manager, PMI Team include the following: General · Work with Hospital Group Management Teams, Community Healthcare Organisations (CHOs) and individual hospitals on areas of specific performance to improve the achievement of key performance indicators for both unscheduled and scheduled care. · On the basis of data and evidence, engage, influence and manage across a range of service, professional and organisational boundaries, working with staff at various levels of seniority to achieve the Winter Plan and National Service Plan targets. · In collaboration with other PMIU staff and relevant managerial and clinical stakeholders, structure, initiate, manage and evaluate interventions, using performance data to achieve measurable improvement in service. · Be a source of policy / strategy advice within the HSE on matters relating to technical aspects of Scheduled and Unscheduled Care. · Lead/participate in relevant project management teams to include development and oversight of project plans in accordance with project management principles. · Preparation of briefing materials, papers, reports project updates for internal and external stakeholders. · Represent the PMIU in relation to areas of intervention, in internal and external fora as required, including with the political system and the media.
