The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary team as a member of Children’s Disability Network Team 9, North Cork City and Blarney. The post holder will support to children with complex needs, and their families. This will include children with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism. Opportunities for professional development in this role will include assessment and monitoring of physical development, postural management equipment prescription, collaborative goal setting, individual and group intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs arising from a disability. The physiotherapist will be offered regular supervision with senior colleagues to support skill development. The post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including the clinic, hydrotherapy pool, preschools, schools and special schools, children's homes and community settings. CDNT 9 also work closely with CHO4 Physical Disability Support Services to assess and monitor the complex physical and orthopaedic needs of the children on the caseload (posture, muscle length and muscle tone, hip and spinal surveillance.) The successful applicant must: (i) Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
