Purpose of the Role: The National Model of Care for Neonatal Services (HSE, 2015) envisaged the opening of an 18-bed NICU in the new children’s hospital staffed by a full nursing team, including ANPs in Neonatology. These posts will be committed to the development of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CHI as the service ramps up to the new National Children’s Hospital and expands its nursing workforce. It is a key step in building a team to deliver neonatal intensive care nursing. The new children’s hospital forms part of the National Model of Care for Paediatric Healthcare Services in Ireland (HSE, 2016), in support of the delivery of safe and appropriate care to paediatric patients from birth. St. Michael’s House is a community-based voluntary organisation which provides facilities and services to over 1,900 adults and children with intellectual disabilities and their families in the greater Dublin area. Psychologists in our Adult services work in multi-disciplinary teams to support our service-users, their families and frontline staff. The Psychology department is a dynamic group of mainly clinical psychologists with a variety of specialisms in the intellectual disability field. We offer supportive supervision, encourage research and service evaluation, maintain strong links with University training courses and value continuing professional development. A Vacancy exists for 1 Full Time, Permanent Post for a Basic/Staff Grade Psychologist in Adult Services .
