The successful candidate will have the following essential requirement • Registration in the Intellectual Disability Division of the nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). • Have a minimum of five years’ post registration experience, of which two must be in behavioural support. • Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibilities within his/her scope of practice. • Completed or undertake on commencement in post a level 8 qualification or higher in the area of behavioural support. • Knowledgeable of the following, Health Act, 2007(Care and support of residents in designated centres for person’s (Children and Adults) with disabilities) Regulations 2013, Shaping the Future of Intellectual Disability Nursing in Ireland (2018). Slainte Care (2018).
