Cuirfidh Bord Oideachais agus Oiliúna na Gaillimhe agus Ros Comáin (GRETB ) fáilte roimh iarratais ó dhaoine a bhfuil na cáilíochtaí cuí acu agus ar mian leo a bheith measta do an post seo a leanas: · Duine Acmhainne Ógtheagmhála Folúntas Reatha - Youthreach Leitir Fraic agus Painéal Galway & Roscommon Education & Training Board (GRETB) invites applications from suitably qualified individuals wishing to be considered for the following position: · Youthreach Resource Person Current Vacancy - Youthreach Letterfrack and Panel Duties of Youthreach Resource Person: Duties will consist of those appropriate to the position which will be assigned to the appointee from time to time by the Centre Co-ordinator, Adult Education Officer, or Director of Further Education and Training (FET): · Responsible to the Co-ordinator on a day to day basis for the delivery of the Youthreach programme; · To prepare, develop and deliver programme content and resources as appropriate or as directed by the Co-ordinator/AEO; · Direct class contact in keeping with the programme needs as timetabled; · Actively participate in the development and implementation of a Centre Development Plan and participate in the internal evaluation process as set out under the Youthreach Quality Framework; · To work within budgets and monitor programme spending in co-operation with the Co-ordinator; · To maintain discipline in accordance within the agreed Code of Behaviour; · To undertake administrative duties relevant to the position, including maintenance of records and provision of reports as required; · To promote the work of the centre and develop contacts outside of the centre which are relevant to work; · To provide locally agreed substitution cover for absent staff and to supervise participants as necessary during lunch breaks and at opening and closing times of the programme; · To provide learner mentoring on a regular basis; · To attend appropriate in-service training and participate in staff development and team maintenance activities as required; · To actively participate in all Staff Meetings; · To engage in other activities for the benefit of participants that may arise from time to time and as directed by the Co-ordinator; · To undertake other duties as may be requested. Person Specification: · A third level qualification would be advantageous relevant to the Further Education & Training Sector; · Experience in administration; · Experience in working with young people or a strong desire to do so; · Youth work and/or teaching experience advantageous; · Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of initiative; · ICT Skills and competencies; · Inniúlacht le dualgais an phoist a chomhlíonadh go héifeachtach trí mheán na Gaeilge/ · Capacity to discharge the duties of the post through the medium of Irish desirable. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: Remuneration: €34,004 – €58,306 (pro-rata per annum) or €31,217 - €58,306 (pro-rata per annum new entrants). Rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Hours of Attendance: The Full-time Resource Person is required to work 35 hours per week. Part-time positions as per centre need on a pro-rata basis. There maybe a requirement to work out with core hours. Sick Leave: Sick Leave will be in accordance with the arrangements authorised by the Minister for Education and Skills from time to time. Galway & Roscommon Education & Training Board (GRETB) invites applications from suitably qualified individuals wishing to be considered for the following position: Terms of appointment: The post is whole-time, permanent and pensionable contract. Location: Initially assigned to the Procurement Section, Galway and Roscommon ETB Head Office, Athenry, Co Galway. However, the post holder could be moved to another area of the organisation as required. Hours of Work : 35 hours per week. Hours may be adjusted from time to time under relevant Public Sector Agreements. Annual Leave: The annual leave entitlement for this post is 29 days. Salary: €57,674 - €74,978 (including two long service increments). As per Department of Education guidelines, new appointees who are entering this grade for the first time will start at the minimum point of the scale. However, incremental credit may apply if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is already a serving Civil or Public Servant. Special Needs Assistant Panel 2024 - 2025
Galway & Roscommon Education & Training Board (GRETB) wishes to form a panel for posts of whole time and part-time Special Needs Assistants which may arise within GRETB schools during the school year 2024 - 2025. The Special Needs Assistant (SNA) provides the necessary non-teaching services to pupils with assessed educational needs. They act in a care and support role that is non-teaching in nature. Their duties are assigned by the Principal acting on behalf of the Board of Management/ETB. Their work is supervised either by the Principal or another teacher as determined by the Principal. The SNA’s primary function is to ensure the care and support needs of the students are met on a daily basis. Assistant Audiologist
Hearing Solutions are specialised in the conducting of hearing tests on young children. Behavioural testing used in the assessment of young children under the age of 4 is being carried out with a second tester whose role is to distract and engage the child and assist in the interpretation of behavioural responses and contribute to the consequent management plan for the child. Training will be provided. The role of the Assistant Audiologist is integral to the accurate testing of young children. The testing process forms only a small part of the appointment process with discussion of history, test results and management plans needing to be discussed between the audiologist and the parents. During this time the child is being engaged and relaxed by the Assistant Audiologist, whilst the Audiologist and parents can have conversation regarding test results and management options. School Completion Programme Coordinator
Post Title: School Completion Programme (SCP) Coordinator Initial Location: Tuam, Co. Galway Capacity: Fixed-Term contract to 31st December 2025 (subject to funding) The School Completion Programme (SCP) is funded by the Department of Education and funding is administered through Tusla Education Support Service (TESS). The SCP aim to have a significant positive impact on levels of pupil retention in primary and second level schools and on the number of pupils who successfully complete the Senior Cycle. The position of Local Coordinator is one that necessitates the development of programmes and provision of support for children and young people who are at risk of early school leaving. The Co-ordinator will lead the development and implementation of the programme in consultation with TESS, under the direction of the School Completion Programme Local Management Committee and in consultation with the school Principals. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Education: Candidates must hold, as a minimum, a QQI level 8 Qualification in Youth Work, Education or other related discipline relevant to the role. Driving Licence Full clean valid driving licence and access to a car is essential. Terms of Appointment: The post is a whole-time temporary fixed term position from date of appointment until 31st December 2025 (subject to funding). A panel may be formed from which future relevant vacancies may be filled. Remuneration: €45,164 - €74,054 (including 2 Long Service Increments) IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: SALARY: As per DES guidelines, new appointees who are entering this grade for the first time will start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit may only apply, if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is already a serving Civil or Public Servant. Rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Starting Salary is not subject to negotiation. Hours of work: A 35-hour week is in operation. Hours may be adjusted from time to time under relevant Public Sector Agreements. The SCP Coordinator role is a full time post and requires flexibility in working hours over the whole year, i.e. 52 weeks, to provide the appropriate programmes for children and young people in school, after school, during school holiday periods, and in the out of school setting. Annual leave: The Annual Leave entitlement for this post is 26 days. Driving Licence: The post holder must hold a full valid driving licence and have full use of a mode of transportation. Location: The Co-ordinator post will initially be based in Tuam, Co.Galway but, from time to time, will demand the flexibility to operate from alternative locations across the region as required.
