Adult Educator (Technology Enhanced Learning)
Location: FET Centre Mervue, Galway Job Time: Full Time Hours: 35 hours per week (may include some evening and weekend work). Job Summary/ Purpose: The Adult Educator will support the TEL Coordinator with the administration, development, planning and delivery of TEL initiatives for FET in GRETB. Job Description: The Adult Educator (TEL Support), under the direction and guidance of FET management and TEL Coordinator, will work as part of a wider team within the FET support and development unit. They will be employed to assist in the administration, planning, designing and delivering of TEL initiatives, encompassing learning pedagogy, instructional design and development with a focus on providing an excellent learning experience for learners. They will be expected to support TEL initiatives and have a good working knowledge of learning management systems to meet the needs and demands of all stakeholders involved in the many FET programmes across Galway and Roscommon. The FET Centres, within GRETB deliver Education and Training from basic education to part-time and full-time provision from Levels 1-6 on the NFQ. Post Title: Youthreach Co-ordinator Reporting to: Adult Education Officer Capacity: Temporary, Full-time, Maternity Leave Cover Post Immediate Vacancy: Youthreach Centre, Letterfrack, Co. Galway. Place of Work: Your location will be at Galway and Roscommon ETB’s Letterfrack Youthreach Service, or such other location within the ETB as determined by the Chief Executive. Role and Responsibilities: The role of the Youthreach Co-ordinator will be to assist in the planning, development and management of the Youthreach centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the centre, staff and learners and the delivery of up to 15 hours teaching per week in consultation with the Director of Further Education and Training and the Adult Education Officer to ensure a coordinated and integrated provision of services. Post Title: Adult Literacy Organiser (ALO) Initial Location: Further Education and Training Department – Adult Education Services, Athenry Area Capacity: Temporary, Full-time, Maternity Leave Cover Reporting to: Director of Further Education and Training (FET), FET Senior Manager/Adult Education Officer (AEO) Initial Headquarters/Duties: The post holder will be located in the GRETB FET Centre, Athenry. Successful post holder(s) may be transferred to another area within the organisation to allow for the allocation of additional duties, as and when required, which may include the reassignment to other duties where necessary. The Position: The Adult Literacy Organiser will have responsibility for leading and managing the literacy services within GRETB. The ALO will be responsible for developing, communicating and implementing the ETB’s Adult Literacy Services plans and policies in consultation with the Director of FET/ Adult Education Officer. The ALO as a member of the Adult Education Services team will be involved in the development of the FET strategy and supporting Adult Education Services in GRETB.
