This is an appointment to the Dublin Midlands Hospitals Group on a Public Only Consultants’ Contract 2023 by the Health Service Executive. The initial commitment for this post will be to Regional Hospital, Mullingar for 37 hours per week. This post may be subject to restructuring in the future to facilitate the reorganisation of acute services in line with new clinical models of acute and community services. It is noted that the post must be congruent with the requirements of, and facilitate implementation of national health policy, the HSE’s National Clinical Programmes including commitment to deliver the relevant performance outcomes. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our established team of six consultants providing comprehensive Obstetric and Gynaecological services within the hospital. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of general gynaecology services and participate fully in the Consultant Obstetrician on-call Rota . In addition, the post has a defined specialist component with leadership and service development responsibilities within: · Ambulatory Gynaecology Services · Early Pregnancy / Initiative Clinic · Fetal Assessment Unit (FAU) The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to further develop patient-centred, efficient, and high-quality pathways of care.
