Electrician
The Role We are looking for a skilled person to join our team and help with the maintenance and repair of our Hospital. You will work with other staff and outside contractors to make sure everything runs smoothly and our service is friendly and efficient. Your main tasks will include checking the water, heating, and gas systems every day, as well as looking over the plant rooms and monitoring the building’s control systems. You will test the generator once a month and handle small repairs and painting jobs as needed. You will be responsible for electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing emergency lighting, changing fuses, and exchanging plugs and sockets. Additionally, you’ll perform various general maintenance duties both inside and outside the premises. You will keep track of repair parts, order new ones when needed, and work with outside contractors. You will help with fire safety as the Deputy Fire Officer. You will be asked to help with projects, take on any other jobs that come up, and be available for on-call support outside of normal hours. This job needs someone who is hands on, flexible, and willing to help out wherever needed to keep the building safe and running well. Senior Speech And Language Therapist, Critical Care & Surgical
The senior SLT will possess and develop relevant clinical knowledge in the area of Speech and Language Therapy specific to Critical Care, General Surgery, ENT and voice. Together with SLT colleagues, the senior SLT will support the provision of a high quality, efficient and evidence based SLT service to adult inpatients referred from Critical Care areas and inpatients/outpatients referred through the Surgical Directorate with communication and swallowing disorders including patients with tracheostomies and/or ventilator dependency. She/He will support the development of the Critical Care, ENT and Surgical SLT services. Clinical Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, Frailty Intervention Therapy Team
The Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) will work closely with his/her HSCP colleagues on the FIT Team to develop and deliver a specialist inpatient and outpatient (as required) communication and swallow service to the frail population presenting to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH) Emergency Department (ED). The purpose of this post is to review the Endoscopy waiting list and provide clinical validation of patients from the routine and planned procedure waiting lists. This includes review of the clinical pathway the patient is on remains appropriate for the patient as per national clinical guidelines and that the treating hospital is appropriate for the patient. The purpose of the post is to also ensure that the patient is prepared for their routine/planned procedure through telephone pre-assessment in advance of the procedure. The CNM 2 Clinical Validation Endoscopy will work as a key member of the Inter-disciplinary team providing support to the Endoscopy unit and quality assurance, resource management, staff development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership. Case load: The case load for the CNM2 clinical validation will be determined in consultation with the relevant Assistant Director of Nursing, relevant consultants, scheduled care team and the Clinical Lead in Endoscopy. It will comprise of patient’s from the Endoscopy routine and planned procedure waiting list.
