Telecomms Poling Crew
We are currently seeking experienced Telecoms Poling Crew members for ongoing pole changeover work in Limerick, Ireland. Carry out pole changeovers, including the removal of old/damaged poles and installation of new poles Work on both overhead and underground telecoms networks Operate pole erection equipment such as pole jacks, winches, and MEWPs safely and efficiently Install, secure and transfer cables, ensuring proper tensioning and clearances Complete daily risk assessments, adhere to health & safety protocols, and use full PPE Carry out site setup, including signage, barriers, and traffic management (where applicable) Maintain accurate records of work completed, including digital photo logs and paperwork Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members to ensure smooth operations Previous experience in telecoms poling or utility pole installation (essential) Full driving licence (BE or C1+E preferred) Safe Pass and Manual Handling (required) M.E.W.P. licence, Pole Top Rescue, and Working at Heights certification (preferred) Strong understanding of site safety, lifting operations, and working around live networks Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work as part of a crew and follow clear instructions and safety protocol

City of Dublin ETB has 3,000 employees and an annual budget of €580m. It is the state education and training authority for Dublin city and serves the area covered by Dublin City Council. This provision is delivered to over 48,000 learners (20,000 full-time and 28,000 part-time) and is supported by a range of services including a psychological service, a curriculum development unit, a buildings maintenance unit and Head Office staff in Ballsbridge. Cleaning of public areas bedrooms and bathrooms Management of rubbish and waste within the Centre Dust, sweep and wash corridors on rotation. Assist with the clearing and cleaning of rooms Welcome and check the ID of all inspectors and official visitors to the centre ensuring that they sign the visitors’ book. Alert management when inspectors announce themselves. Undertake cleaning duties and deep cleaning duties on a rotational basis Deal immediately with incidents, and where necessary call 999 for emergency services (gardai or ambulance or fire services) or back up. Report immediately to the manager on call. Be vigilant to the possibility, that we may have trespassers or other untoward behaviour on the grounds at times, and in such a case, note the time of the intrusion, and call Gardai. Where possible note all numbers of any strange vehicles in the communication/handover book. Report all use of fire equipment, fire alarms going off, electricity or fire outage, and report to management. Assist in the induction of new staff at the manager’s request.
