Clinical Liaison Nurse For The National Newborn Bloodspot Screening Laboratory

Purpose of the Role This a pivotal role in the clinical coordination of the National Newborn Bloodspot Screening (NNBS) service in Ireland, including the management and referral of ‘screen positive’ cases. The post holder will work as part of the NNBSL team in the provision of this service. They will have opportunity to participate in the further development of this essential national screening programme. The post holder will develop and maintain internal and external links with and promote an awareness of, the screening programme to all service users. They will liaise directly with families and multidisciplinary teams to seek and provide information and advice on matters relating to the NNBS programme. The Programme Manager of Policy and Engagement supports AIIHPC’s member organisations and key stakeholders in engaging with policy developments and leading on engaging with key audiences including members of the public.
