This will be done by developing efficient, cost-effective ways of working whilst developing professional relationship with internal departments, suppliers and external clients. Ensuring effective and efficient procurement activities for client projects at UK and US sites is crucial. This involves monitoring supplier performance, addressing issues, and supporting related metrics and KPIs. Additionally, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating prices, and contributing to cost-effective procurement methods are key. Tasks such as monitoring supplier spend, identifying trends, and exploring savings opportunities are essential. Involvement in negotiations, pricing terms, RFIs/Tenders processes, and contributing to process improvements are part of the role. Collaboration with internal departments and suppliers to ensure compliance with regulations, budgets, and specifications is paramount. Moreover, supporting the ERP system rollout and providing team support when needed are integral responsibilities. Senior Social Worker, Children's Disability Network Team
Senior Grade Social Worker CDNT 8, Central Cork 1 Permanent position Horizons is seeking to recruit a Senior Social Worker to work as part of local Children's Disability Network Teams to provide quality, evidence-based, and family-centred social work services to children and young people with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework. The role will involve the provision of a range of individual, targeted and universal interventions to children with complex needs and their families. Interventions including Non-violent resistance, Parents Plus Special Needs, Sibshops and autism post-diagnostic interventions are offered by the CDNT. The Senior Social worker will carry a case load of individual cases as well as having allocations to interdisciplinary team interventions with colleagues from other disciplines, including psychology, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. This senior role will involve supporting families with a greater complexity of individual/family need, the supervision of staff grade social workers & students and leading in key areas of service development. The successful candidate will report to the CDNM and be clinically supervised by the Principal Social Worker. Clinical Focus The Haemovigilance Officer will: § Provide haemovigilance Service for Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan. The person employed will work in close co-operation with the Department of Blood Transfusion. § Implement guidelines for the usage of blood components developed by the Irish Blood Transfusion Services Board (IBTSB)/leading national and international bodies ie. BCSH § Promote and facilitate adherence to best practice in all aspects of Transfusion practice in particular clinical transfusion practice in wards and departments, including identification and administration of blood and blood products, and proper identification of sample § Liaise with Blood Transfusion Laboratory in investigating all reports of transfusion reactions/incidents and report adverse blood transfusion reactions to the Consultant Haematologist and the and the National Haemovigilance Office and audit of same as per the NHO guidelines § Adhere to the responsibilities of directive 2002/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27thJanuary 2003 § Carry out post transfusion look back and product tracing and recalls § Assist in the collection of clinical and laboratory data on transfusions that can be used for formulation and updating of recommended, maximum blood order schedules (MBOS) and crossmatch/transfusion ratios § Report accidents, incidents, and complaints relating to ward/clinical activity in relation to transfusion practices to relevant authorities usually Consultant Haematologist /line manager in accordance with the laboratory quality management system § Report clinical incidents and ‘Near Miss Incidents’ to Risk Manager and SAEs/SARs to the National Haemovigilance office as per the national guidelines § Liaise closely with Blood Transfusion Laboratory staff to maintain good interdisciplinary working relationships with all staff § Develop and review SOPs to meet the requirements of ISO 15189 and the AMLBB regulations § Assist the multidisciplinary team in ensuring traceability of all blood & blood products laid down by EU Directives 2002/98/EC and 2004/23/EC § Responsibility for providing reports on Blood Component use to the hospital blood transfusion committee § Liaise with members of the Hospital Transfusion Committee and organisation of Hospital Transfusion Committee meetings § Participate in Blood Transfusion departmental meeting and attend managerial and clinical meetings that require specialist input Senior Medical Scientists or Clinical Nurse Manager II who meet the Eligibility Criteria can apply

Conservation Cleaner
The Role The duties of the Conservation Cleaner (General Operative Band 3 (Rural)) are wide and varied. The primary function of the job holder will be to carry out duties relating to conservation cleaning duties for all areas within Castletown House and its ancillary buildings. The successful candidate will adhere to the cleaning programme in place which specifies cleaning requirements for same areas / individual rooms and to always maintain the standard required. The successful candidates will be based at Castletown House, Celbridge, Co. Kildare, and may be required to work at other OPW sites as and when directed by management. The hours of attendance will be determined by local management requirements. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Candidates, must possess the following, at the closing date: Reporting Relationship The Conservation Cleaner (GO Band 3 (Rural) reports to the Service Manager/Foreperson/Office and Stores Supervisor and to any other person to whom authority has been assigned and/or delegated. It is a condition of the Collective Agreement that persons availing of the agreement will not be eligible for re-employment in the Public Service by any Public Service body (as defined by the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Acts 2009 – 2011) for a period of 2 years from termination of the employment. People who availed of this scheme and who may be successful in this competition will have to prove their eligibility (expiry of period of non-eligibility). Incentivised Scheme for Early Retirement (ISER) It is a condition of the Incentivised Scheme for Early Retirement (ISER) as set out in Department of Finance Circular 12/09 that retirees under that Scheme, are not eligible to apply for another position in the same employment or the same sector. Therefore, such retirees may not apply for this position. Department of Health and Children Circular (7/2010) The Department of Health Circular 7/2010 dated 1 November 2010 introduced a Targeted Voluntary Early Retirement (VER) Scheme and Voluntary Redundancy Schemes (VRS). It is a condition of the VER scheme that persons availing of the scheme will not be eligible for reemployment in the public health sector or in the wider Public Service or in a body wholly or mainly funded from public moneys. The same prohibition on re-employment applies under the VRS, except that the prohibition is for a period of 7 years. People who availed of the VER scheme are not eligible to compete in this competition. People who availed of the VRS scheme and who may be successful in this competition will have to prove their eligibility (expiry of period of non-eligibility). Pay The Conservation Cleaner - General Operative Grade 3 (Rural) pay scale, based on a 39-hour week, as and from 1st March 2025, is as follows: €656.12 - €798.93
