Contract Details This is a consultant appointment on a Public Only Contract 2023 with a commitment of 23 hours per week in Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise and 14 hours per week in The Coombe Hospital under the Consultant’s Contract 2023 The Public Only Contract 2023 provides for a normal working week of 37 hours. This post forms a very important part of the hospital's overall plan to lead and deliver Obstetrics and Gynaecology Services. The hospital has an extensive gynaecology service and with increased demand for gynaecology services, this post has the capacity to increase the number of women cared for. Progression of the plans for the new Theatre Development remains essential to increase the overall capacity for Gynaecology and this has been brought to design phase. Established over 35 years ago and members of the Federation of Piling Specialist, the range of disciplines offered primarily include the design and installation of bored CFA and rotary bored piling, contiguous and secant piled retaining walls and driven precast & steel piling. Role Overview ​​​​​​​FK Lowry requires a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our estimating team. Based in Belfast with flexible UK/Ireland locations, the role involves advising on geotechnical design at tender stage for bored and driven piling, and preparing detailed Eurocode design submissions at contract award. Senior candidates should also have experience in bored piled retaining wall design. The position includes developing pile designs, preparing tender estimates, and occasional travel within the UK or Ireland for meetings.
