Record details of bookings and pass them to the Bookings Officer to process. Manage reception key cabinet. On sounding of fire alarm, collect the Grab pack and pass to Fire Marshall. Receive, distribute and dispatch all incoming and outgoing mail and packages to Council Offices. Manage petty cash and receive, record and receipt of all monies, including credit card payments, in accordance with financial regulations. Provide support to Corporate Facilities Manager and other departments on routine matters e.g. postage, purchase order system, customer care or other matters and carry out general administrative duties as required. Undertake any other relevant duties that may be required and are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post. Qualifications and Training • 5 GCSE’s (Grades A – C) or equivalent/comparable including English Language and Mathematics. The hospital serves the catchment areas of East Galway, Westmeath, North Tipperary, Roscommon and Offaly and has a natural referral pathway to the Midlands. Ballinasloe is the largest town in County Galway. The town has excellent junior and secondary schools and is close to the University of Galway and the Technology University of Shannon in Athlone. The town is served by public transport to the major centres. The area offers an abundance of sports, leisure and entertainment facilities. The town offers easy access to major regional centres of Galway City. Education & Training: Portiuncula University Hospital is a recognised site for training of undergraduate medical students from University of Galway and graduate entry medical students from University of Limerick. We are an accredited site for intern training for the West North West Intern Training program. We offer Basic Specialist Training in General Medicine to Senior House Officers on the RCPI training program and also an approved site with the ICGP West training scheme for GP training. We have international trainees on the CPSP program through RCPI and we also have Basic and Higher Specialist trainees in Surgery, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
